Job Title: Supply Chain Responsibility Associate
Reports to: Manager, Social Responsibility
Location: Ventura, California
General Summary
This position supports both timebound and ongoing programs within the Social and Environmental Responsibility (SER) Department. Specifically, you will focus on programmatic reporting. Additionally, you will undertake and oversee research projects and reporting findings in small group and larger cross-functional team settings, as needed. This is a 5 to 6-month contract and hourly, paid position.
What You’ll Do
Finished Goods Social Supply Chain Programs
Support the living wage program, which includes the following deliverables:Collecting, analyzing, and visualizing wage data for cut-sew factories
Facilitating research into living wage verification-audit program
Facilitating pilots to test living wage interventions
Creating content for living wage page on Patagonia website
Support Patagonia’s Fair Labor Association (FLA) accreditationDevelopment of manual to advance supplier program maturity
Development of supplier health and safety manual
Update of SER SOP
Support Fair Trade USA (FTUSA) program, which may include the collection and analysis of factory-level data
Support worker voice projects
Support climate justice projects
Raw Materials Social Supply Chain Programs
Identify, track, and report on KPI’s for the Migrant Worker Program
Support the raw material Field Manager (FM) in Corrective Action Plan (CAP) follow up as requested
Traceability
Support Traceability Manager to conduct farm-level supply chain mapping
Conduct research on document storage systems to support traceability program
Assist in rollout of new Patagonia traceability tools
Regenerative Organic Certification
Support data collection and reporting for ROC pilots
Conduct research to support the ROC program
Animal Welfare
Research and report on animal welfare, labor, and environmental risks involved at the farming and processing supply chain levels
General SER Department Work
Enter and upkeep factory and supplier Corrective Action Plan (CAP) data into departmental database and produce reports as necessary
Support data entry and the rollout of the CR360 data platform as needed
Update department-wide presentations
Help organize an all-product-teams training
Help organize the SER department annual summit
Other
Other duties and assignments as required
Experience You Bring
Masters or Bachelor student in Social or Environmental studies or Business/Textile related field
Solid working knowledge of personal computers with experience in the use of such programs as: Search Engines, MS Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, in particular Access and Excel.
Able to work independently, but also comfortable with team-based work structure; ability to demonstrate flexibility and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrates initiative, is conscientious and provides complete follow-through on areas of responsibility
Exceptional analytical and organizational skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Customer-focused with an empathetic, helping attitude
Good listening and note-taking skills
Strong attention to detail and recognition of when additional detail is required to carry out a project
Capable of analyzing and understanding complex data and situations, reducing them to simple steps towards resolution
Must be rigorous enough to work to established procedures, produce required documentation and ensure important details are not overlooked
Experience with project management and an understanding of business practices related to time management
An ideal candidate will also be quick to learn and capable of rapid adjustment to unforeseen job assignments and functions
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit/stand for extended periods of time
Ability to look at a computer screen for extended periods of time
Ability to maintain a composed and professional demeanor
