Role: E-Commerce Business Analyst Intern

Requirements: Applicants must have graduated in 2020 or be returning to school in the fall of 2020. This is a paid internship that will also include financial support for summer housing and temporary relocation to the area.
Location: Ventura, CA

Internship Overview
As the E-Commerce Business Analyst intern, you will assist the E-Commerce team with planning, testing and support of Patagonia.com activities. Additionally, you will support with requirements gathering, testing and release prep for campaigns and new functionality on Patagonia.com. You will work across departments shadowing our QA lead, product managers and developers and will primarily be focused on the US site with opportunities to interact with Japan and Europe.  By the end of the summer, you will gain a well-rounded experience of how E-Commerce platforms and operations work in an agile manner.  You will be ingrained with the E-Commerce team to achieve our mission to “Save our Home Planet”. 

What You’ll Do
Provide support for the Patagonia.com site assisting with testing and validation of features across the site
Collaborate with project managers and sponsors to support future Patagonia.com initiatives including strategy and functional design documentation
Create test case execution plans and reports
Assist with website metric reporting and roll-up to leadership dashboards
Gain an understanding of E-Commerce technology and workflows
Groom through 3rd product reviews supporting publishing onto the site
Perform special E-Commerce tasks at the request of leadership

Internship Project
In addition to daily assignments that support your team, you will be assigned a project to complete by the end of the summer. You will present the results of your project at the end of your internship with your team, and possibly a company-wide audience.

Experience You Bring
Undergraduate student pursuing a degree in:Technology: Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems
Business: Business, Marketing, Operations

Previous internship experience preferred
Classes in technology programming, business analytics, and/or business process
Experience with web development
Experience writing and/or testing agile user stories
Understanding of Agile methodology
Experience with quality assurance and testing
Understanding of system development life cycles (SDLC)
