In this role you will lead, coordinate, develop and implement strategies and programs designed to maintain the continuity of Patagonias business and help deliver our commitment to ensuring a safe, equitable and antiracist work environment free from harassment and discrimination. You will set the companys strategies in areas such as business continuity planning, pandemic response planning, loss prevention and related investigations, disaster preparedness and emergency operations, administering global emergency response plans and related systems implementation. You will also oversee the companys security team and develop and administer loss prevention programs across North America. You will work across departments and regions throughout the company to implement and oversee related tactical plans. You will be a critical part of Patagonias commitment to delivering on our mission: Were in Business to Save Our Home Planet.

What Youll Do

Employee Safety & Asset Protection
Develop and implement strategies, protocols, processes and plans designed to keep our 2000+ employees in North America safe that are tailored to the unique considerations of each location.
Improve upon and administer an employee safety compliance program covering OSHA requirements, the companys Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP) and any applicable related regulations.
Develop a plan for physical security that is grounded in equitable treatment for all and lead physical security for Patagonias Ventura facilities including corporate offices, retail store and child development center to protect people, operations and property.
Oversee all Patagonia security services, both in-house professionals and any third-party services in Reno, Ventura, and retail locations.
Act as centralized point of contact and resource center for all safety issues for Patagonia globally.
Build incident response teams, operating in accordance with tailored, specific, documented protocols.
Develop and manage the safety program for employees traveling for work.

Emergency Planning and Business Continuity
Establish plans for business resiliency and continuity to minimize disruption from unplanned events.
Coordinate and prepare emergency response teams at all locations, training, drills and exercises to embed safety and business continuity plans and protocols.
Select, manage and maintain related vendors, services and systems.

Investigations, Internal Controls and Loss Prevention
Working with Legal and Human Resources, structure and conduct investigations into employee complaints related to theft, damage to property, and threats of violence.
Working with the Legal, Retail and Finance teams, establish systems to investigate, track and report on claims of fraud, technology abuse theft.
Working with the Legal team, establish systems to investigate and track grey market activities and other sales channel anomalies.
Continuously review and enhance internal controls to reduce the impacts of merchandise and retail channel incidents.

Experience You Bring
Bachelors Degree
10+ years experience with a successful track record in leading business continuity and/or asset protection program development and implementation
Retail, distribution center or manufacturing facility experience
Global experiences a plus
High level of comfort working with technology and systems
