Mad Engine, Inc. is looking for a full-time experience Inventory Control Specialist to join our Distribution Center in Otay, CA!

Department // Inventory Control
Reports To // Inventory Control Manager

Position Summary //
This position requires skills and experience that are specifically focused on the inventory control and management of several thousand SKU’s within various Company warehouses, contractor facilities, and 3PL locations. This position will be an integral component of the Company and must provide accurate details of on-hand inventory, inventory in-transit, and research inventory issues as needed. The successful candidate will possess a proven track record of successful inventory control practices in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities //
• Inventory control, data entry, inventory movements and transfers, training and enforcing the proper use of inventory control measures within the Company
• Review inventory reports on daily basis and perform detailed analysis of item history if necessary
• Perform inventory adjustments with variance analysis as needed
• Analyze and report physical inventory for all locations
• Investigate inventory shortages and discrepancies
• Establish good working relationships with other teams within the Company as well as with vendors and suppliers
• Learn and understand the functions of different departments including inventory control, purchasing, production, logistics (receiving and shipping) to better understand the flow of inventory
• Proactively support the development of best practices within the department and Company to continuously improve and streamline procedures
• Other duties to be assigned as needed

Competency //
Our Inventory Control Specialist must be process-oriented, detail-oriented, have strong problem solving and analytical skills, and have the ability to communicate with all levels of staff, vendors, and management. Must work well in timeline driven environment, with superior organizational, prioritization, multi-tasking, and time management skills, with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate their ability to manage several priorities and work with a high-volume of SKUs. They will be capable of organizing vast amounts of data, conducting research and identifying variances.

Job Requirements

Qualifications //
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in an inventory control position
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Must have strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite, with emphasis on Microsoft Excel
• Manufacturing and/or Apparel background a plus
• Strong math and analytical skills
• Extremely organized with relentless attention to detail
• Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
• Must be able to work in a fast paced, multi-tasked environment
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and walk distances 200 yards or more
• English/Spanish bi-lingual a plus
• Must be available full-time and able to work extended hours and overtime, if necessary

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to handle or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee may need to on occasion participate in physical cycle counts onsite or at contractor sites. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
