Position Overview


As a Trade Operations Manager, you'll play a key role in operations and creating various trade related policies, instructions, and standards in how the company conducts its trade business from the APAC and EMEA regions into North America. In this exciting role, you'll be the Subject Matter Expert on trade related issues, while providing operational processes and controls for applying securities on the company's imports and exports processes. You will have the opportunity to take on complex trade challenges and use creative initiatives to implement solutions while operationalizing and documenting process for our vendors in APAC and EMEA regions.


 


You are a self-starter that doesn't settle for complacency and are willing to make changes, take a two-door risk, all without sacrificing customer and general compliance expectations. You will work closely with the transportation team, legal team, finance team, supply chain teams, the engineering team, the product development team, and the warehouse teams.


 


Responsibilities


Review and audit 7501 Entry Summary on a weekly basis for any trade related discrepancies.

Review and analyze valuation methods used within the company and create a write up of findings.

Review and analyze any potential assists during the productions phases of each product to ensure that assists are being reported accurately.

Review relevant Cross Rulings and public case studies on Country of Origin and Markings and provide a written analysis of the findings.

Review and provide HTS, ECCNs, and Schedule B tariffs for components and finished goods.

Translate HTS to country counterparts and identify any trade related blockers to import products in NALA, APAC, and EMEA regions.

Review commercial documents for trade related information.

Train and lead presentations on pertinent trade updates to internal stakeholders and internal customers.

Research and analyze various trade programs, such as Duty Drawback, First-Sale Invoicing, Section 321, and Foreign Trade Zone information and provide analysis to the Sr. Trade Compliance Manager.

Analyze and report duty payments and section 301 tariff costs on product categories.

Routinely screen all entities for Denied Parties within OFAC portal.

Create and implement Standard Operating Procedures for all Customs Brokers.

Oversee and manage all internal transfer of assets for trade related information.

Operationally maintain ISA, CTPAT, and Reconciliation programs within the company.

Conduct quarterly SWOT (Strength, Weakness, Opportunities, and Threat) analysis on the trade program and draft a Corrective Action Plan to close out any gaps.

Operationalize various compliance manuals regarding trade information and product compliance requirements.

Maintain and create intake processes of net new products to review and trade related risks.

Advise and instruct various stakeholders on the importance of trade compliance efforts.

Review and file any exportation license for strategically controlled goods under strict adherence to

Leverage existing tools for automation opportunities on trade related efforts.

Monitor global import/export regulatory changes and help draft procedures to internal stakeholders.

Run routine trade related reports through ACE to forecast business growth on imports and exports.
