Position Overview
We have an immediate opportunity for a Graphic Designer for K2 Outdoor. As part of the Product Design Team, you will be responsible developing graphic artwork for a variety of winter and summer products under K2 Sports. In addition, team member prepares a variety of graphic design and layout work in preparation of various catalogs, on-line material, posters, pop, advertisements, packaging, collateral, books, newsletters, and flyers. The ideal candidate will possess a high level of self motivation as well as a balance of aesthetic sensitivity and mechanical aptitude.
Responsibilities
Creates and designs product graphics for various Elevate Outdoor Collective groups.
Creates and designs graphics for layout of marketing collateral, merchandising, and packaging.
Operates various graphic design programs.
Confers with marketing and sales teams regarding project specifications and creative direction.
Writes bid specifications for jobs assigned to outside vendors; coordinates production of material with outside vendors by monitoring jobs in progress, resolving technical problems, proofing materials and ensuring deadlines are met.
Manages studio and action photography of athletes and product.
Creates, designs, and/or manages the production of technical drawings and illustrations.
Designs, constructs, and or manages the production of visual displays, POP and exhibits; may determine materials and equipment best suited for the job.
Maintains department files of completed assignments; maintains accurate logs of work in progress such as time devoted to projects and materials used.
Minimum Qualifications
Associates degree in Graphic Design or related field AND two years’ experience in graphic design OR equivalent years of related experience, training, or education.
Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment sharing knowledge and best practices
Must be Expert in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
Preferred Qualifications
Product/apparel graphic experience
Screen print experience
Willingness to embrace snow/summer sports as part of your lifestyle if it already isn’t a part of it
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit for long periods of time
Ability to enter data for long periods of time
Ability to sit in front of computer for long periods of time
Ability to speak and hear
May be required to lift 15-50 pounds occasionally
