Position Overview


The Design Engineer role will include design and development of new ski products. The products should be high quality, good durability, marketable, capable of efficient production and cost effective. The Design Engineer works closely with the Product Director, Product Line Manager and other colleagues to meet market and financial needs. This position will be responsible for new product planning, prototyping, creating product design and engineering documentation and working with vendors and suppliers for the commercialization of the products.


 


Responsibilities


Work with Product Director and Product Line Manager to develop technologies and products to meet market needs and financial goals.

Work in Excel, CAD and with other appropriate tools to develop unique designs to fit unique K2 customer needs.

Prioritize, manage and execute all product-related approvals. This includes managing the product testing.

Achieve product deliverables per the timeline.

Generate and update the specification sheets defining the construction of the products.

Define factory specifications and key measures. Work with the factories to ensure quality and durability.

Submit engineering change notices for construction related changes at the factories.

Travel to trade shows, on-snow tests and manufacturing facilities in China.
