About the job
Successful candidate can execute on vision outlined for the radio product category. Mechanical engineering background with testing and certification experience desired. Foreign factory experience needed.
Job Responsibilities:
Manage the development and delivery of products in the radio category
• Work with supplier to define electronic specs
• Negotiate price and volume discounts
• Direct industrial design efforts
Ensure regulatory compliance
• Understand evolving regulatory environment
• Complete certifications including FCC/IC/CE
Manage supply chain
• Maintain relationship with factory including travel to China
• Address development or quality issues with factory
Manage quality control processes and failure analysis
• Develop factory quality checks
• Perform aftermarket failure analysis and make improvements in product design and/or manufacturing process
Interface with sales and marketing teams to educate on product features
• Provide technical training for staff and key influencers
• Address market questions as needed to further develop category knowledge
