Corporate Counsel Job in Seattle, WA

Position Summary: K2 Sports, LLC seeks Corporate Counsel with general business expertise. Success in this role requires organizational skills, efficiency, motivation, communication & writing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple projects in time sensitive situations. Essential Job Duties: • Provide strategic legal advice to K2 executive team and manage company litigations • Draft, review and negotiate agreements and contracts covering a broad range of business and commercial topics • Internally manage the trademark portfolio including docketing, managing global watch notices, clearance, prosecution and enforcement • Lead and guide risk management practices for the organization including insurance related matters and company policies and procedures • Manage and oversee outside counsel assigned to company legal matters • Manage legal expenses of the organization • Conduct legal and regulatory research as needed Minimum Qualifications: • JD with state bar admission (Washington preferred) • 5+ years of relevant experience • Experience with intellectual property, contracts, and liability/risk management • Strong organizational problem-solving and analytical skills • Sufficient patent knowledge to support the patent portfolio and manage outside resources • Working knowledge of patent claims • Ability to successfully handle competing, time-sensitive projects • Ability to lead network of in-house specialists in other departments (R+D, Sales, Marketing, etc.) • IP Experience Desirable Qualifications: • Previous experience in role requiring high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Strong interpersonal and diplomatic skills • Proven ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize and meet deadlines
