Marketing Specialist - Ski Job in Seattle, WA

Position Purpose:This position focuses on supporting and driving sell through of K2 skis at US retailers. Working closely with the sales team and with guidance from the marketing group, this position creates and executes marketing and sales promotions for all retail outlets, both brick & mortar and digital. This position is also charged with executing Tradeshow and sales meeting planning, displays and logistics. Additionally, this role includes the management of our in store point of purchase material offering. Ultimately, this position ensures the sales force has appropriate sell in and sell through tools they need to successfully sell and promote K2. Principal Accountabilities: • Support reps and retailers to maximize sales • Execution of sales and marketing promotions • Collecting data and using it to drive decision making • Studying effectiveness of sell through marketing initiatives to optimize future initiatives • Coordination of domestic sales meetings and trade shows • Development and ordering of POP, swag, and sales tools • Sales sample ordering and coordination • Facilitating global requests for marketing collateral • Project and timeline management Minimum Qualification: • College Degree • Experience in retail sales and marketing • Excellent work ethic and enthusiasm • Good leader and team player • Ability to organize multiple tasks and manage projects • Self-directed and motivated • Possession of advanced computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe products • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills Desirable Qualifications: • Education in marketing, communications, or related • Skier or Snowboarder • An understanding of the winter sports retail business • Event coordination experience • Experience in ecommerce • 3-5 years’ of experience in action sports industry
