Staff Accountant Job in Seattle, WA

K2 Sports is looking to fill a key role within our accounting department. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated and analytical thinker that is able to understand complex transactions and make proper accounting treatment recommendations. This position will be working in two separate ERP systems so the ability to multi-task is a must.Job Responsibilities: ! Responsible for month-end close process including preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and fluctuation analysis; ! Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data; ! Manages intercompany reconciliations, including recording transactions and calculation of foreign exchange gain/loss; ! Produce weekly cash balances report and recoding of cash transactions; ! Assist in providing required documentation for audits; ! Process Accounts Payable, including processing invoices, following up with vendors and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner; ! Assists in the development and improvement of business processes, policies and accounting best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy; ! Ad hoc projects associated with department goals and objectives as assigned.Qualifications & Skills: ! Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field or equivalent work experience required ! CPA candidate preferred ! Fundamental knowledge of USGAAP ! Experience working in global organization and multi-currency environment ! Experience with Epicor preferred but not required ! Detail and deadline-oriented ! Proficiency in MS Office applications
