• Park City, UT, USA• Full Time Health Benefits, 401K Matching (100% vested day one), Product Discounts, Discount Gym Membership, Flex Time Scheduling, Powder Days Email Me Similar Jobs Email Me This Job A day in the life of a Logistics Director looks like; 20% Distribution and / or Transportation • Overseeing the daily follow up on orders released to the warehouse. • Deal with escalations in regards to Sales OPS team and supplier issues that Logistics manager needs assistance on. • Own the optimization of Global warehouse efficiency (Inbound, Outbound and inventory accuracy) • Actively look at trends in logistics KPIs (Inbound, inventory, outbound, returns, VAS) to ensure margin protection and supplier compliance? • Overseeing processes and keep open communication with the warehouses / transportation partners in order to alert, report and escalate issues. • Drive improvements in order to lower cost and increase service. 50% Supplier Management • Keep a close eye on market developments and strategically decide direction. • Manage suppliers in order to establish long term partnerships. • Plan long term strategy in order to support organization meeting its targets. • Drive cost savings and identify strategical initiatives • Find the best strategic partnerships for the given situation / market. 10% Ad Hoc Duties • Support various departments and their requests for improvements in order to increase their service offerings or visibility. • Initiate ad hoc meetings to identify, support and execute strategic initiatives. • Lead efforts to increase visibility on logistics processes to the company (SAP, DW, Direct communication) 20% People and Team Management • Create an environment where people can excel • Establish tools for people to use to maximize output. • Create processes that streamline the department and keep it lean and mean. To love and be successful in this job, you will need to possess the below competencies, skills and education. Education: BS or BA in in engineering, mathematics or supply chain discipline or 10-15 years in equivalent position. Competencies • Detail orientated: you can catch one error in sea of a 1000 emails • High Pressure: if you are comfortable talking shop with a CFO or presenting to Execs • Driven and dedicated: doesn't mind doing whatever is needed in order to align different time zones. • Traveling: regular travels internationally. (50%) • Follow Up: You close the loop, button things up, seal it tight. You know what we mean. Skills • Systems: you need to know the systems we use and how to use them best. • Excellent communication skills with internal and external including with nonnative English speakers. • Experience with SAP a plus • People management skills, ability to recognize competencies and use them in the correct way. • Team building, needs to find a balance in the team in order to excel. • Clear sense of direction, vision and strategy and ability to translate that into company wide projects to support the company as a whole.
