Job Summary
The position of Ecommerce Buyer is responsible for selecting product assortments for TOMS.com, driving assortment and sku productivity to achieve financial goals. The Ecommerce Buyer will manage the TOMS.com offering to represent the brand and diamond segmentation strategies. He / She will be part of the Ecommerce Buying & Merchandise Planning Team reporting to the Sr. Buyer of Ecommerce Buying; He / She will work closely with the Site Merchandising Team and with the Global Product Teams.
Essential Responsibilities
•
Create category mix and merchandise assortment plans for TOMS.com: select and edit from the main Global Lines of Mens Footwear, Eyewear and Apparel, editing the assortment to align with the TOMS.com consumer.
•
Ensure that the needs of the TOMS.com customer are achieved by SMU creation and necessary line extensions, collaborating with the Product team.
•
Establish product lifecycles that align with a buy now/wear now strategy as dictated by the customer.
•
Collaborate and Manage Buys and Open to Buy in coordination with Ecommerce Planners to achieve TOMS.com Sales and Margin goals; propose promotional and markdown strategies when needed.
•
Participate in bottoms-up planning meetings that determine quantities for all styles, evaluate buys at style, class and department level against initial plans
•
Analyze product performance at departmental/classification/sku level.
•
Utilize BI & GA tools to view product-centric selling behaviors. Including: Color, Style, Heal, Embellishment, etc.
•
Create, update, change, distribute and communicate assortment plans to appropriate business partners on an ongoing basis
•
Curate and merchandise offering: merchandise capsules, flow deliveries, to ensure novelty and appropriate representation of key product stories throughout the year and in coordination with Retail Channel
•
Participate in product review meetings with cross-functional teams, prepare and drive conversations for Toms.com channel needs.
•
Review sales performance and marketplace information to identify sales trends and business opportunities. Provide any relevant feedback to the product team.
Education and Experience
•
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
•
2-4 years of work experience in buying/planning
•
Strong Excel Skills
•
Ability to present ideas, strategies and business opportunities proactively with statistical support.
