Job SummaryThe position of Ecommerce Merchandise Planneris to provide financial and business guidance to the Ecommerce Merchandising Team to ensure sales plans are achieved. This position will own forecasting, core & seasonal buying, inventory management, Open-To-Buy (OTB) and markdown processes for each product category. The Ecommerce Merchandise Planner analyzes style and silhouette selling, making recommendations on in-season business and upcoming seasonal buys to achieve financial goals. Essential Responsibilities • Create and maintain weekly sales analysis reports • Analyze seasonal product sales at season end; share findings with business partners, i.e. Ecommerce Merchandise & Footwear Product Team • Contribute to creation, iteration and maintenance of reporting/proposal template for cross-functional review • Key Indicators of inventory, sales, markdown and lost sales analysis to be reviewed by Material ID (MID) by season • Present findings to cross-functional group on a quarterly basis, creating templates and PowerPoint presentations • Utilize hindsight to drive and influence future season with product teams and to drive 12-month forecasting by MID • Prepare and execute seasonal buys • 4 times per year creation of seasonal buys in excess of 100 MIDs. • Utilize hindsight and trend data to partner with ecom merchant on assortment planning and depth of buys • Create buys and forecasts that align to company marketing, catalog and product ideas • Ensure seasonal buys financially tie to budgets that include sales, inventory and receipt plans • Forecast carryover and core products; reviewing monthly to manage inventory needs • Monthly review of sales and inventory needs. Creation of receipt needs in coordination with demand planners • Weekly review of inventory needs and process STOs to ensure in-stock position for carryover and core MIDs • Ensure that OTB and in-stock service levels are tied to overall budget and forecast goals • Drive weekly review of MID performance metrics, recommending product drops and adds • Create, maintain and manage OTB for category area(s) of responsibility • Attend seasonal final line reviews, prepared to speak to business needs • Communicate inventory availability to Ecommerce Merchandise Team for all seasonal product launches and special partnerships • Prepare to lead special projects partnership programs, SMUs, quarterly special events • Build and develop relationships with cross-functional business partners to achieve financial results for area of responsibility and total company • Analyze business performance using SAP & BI tools Requirements & Qualifications • Advanced knowledge of retail math and full understanding of merchandise planning • Must possess excellent organizational and prioritization skills with a strong attention to detail • Must prioritize and execute tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, timelines and demands • Strong communication skills - written and verbal, and ability to work with cross-functional teams and present to small and mid-sized stakeholder groups • The ability to apply planning logic to maximize opportunity • Advanced skills in Excel, Planning/Enterprise Planning systems a plus Education & Experience • Bachelors degree in Merchandising, Business or related field (additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree) • 2+ years of experience in planning for a multi-channel retail environment (ecommerce and/or direct-to-consumer experience preferred) TOMS is an equal opportunity employer and will consider applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with the requirements of the ordinance. • Back Share • • • • • Apply Now
