Position Summary
Manage and operate TOMS Roasting Co. HQ coffee bar, as a member of the TOMS family, to convey our Stand For Tomorrowmessage to internal company as well as provide espresso-based drinks and drip coffee. As thebarista at TOMS HQ you will posses excellent product knowledge and strong barista skills. This roleinteracts with TOMS employeesin creating the perfect drink. Sometimes caf requests can be a little outside of the norm, however we look to you to guide our team membersin the right direction while still being flexible and accommodating to specialty requests. You are a vital integrator to the functioning and focus of our TOMS HQ, bonding TOMS culture through conversation with employeeson a daily basis.
Essential Responsibilities Gain a strong understanding of the TOMS vision, mission and core values with an ability to utilize them on a daily basis. Work closely with beverage manager to ensure smooth flow of coffee bar Take proactive steps to avoid overage and excessive ordering Maintain clear and organized records of orders and caf needs Brew coffee and make drinks per SCAA standards Provide quality beverages consistently for all customers Follow health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products Maintain quality cafe operations Provides cleaning tasks for all caf, coffee and espresso equipment Maintain a clean and organized coffee bar during shift and Maintain back stock and manage inventory
Requirements & Qualifications Ability to demonstrate a courteous and helpful attitude Outgoing, creative, and personable Self-starter and pro-active Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Familiar with La Marzocco manual espresso machines, Mazzer coffee grinders and FETCO coffee brewers Ability to learn quickly and take direction
Education & Experience High School/Secondary School Diploma or equivalent 2+ years work experience in specialty coffee Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 50lbs, climb a ladder, and standing for extended periods of time Must be able to work scheduled shift 7:30am-11:30am, Monday-Friday
