Demand Planner Job in Los Angeles, VT

Job Summary

The demand planner is a highly-visible position responsible for maintaining all monthly operational forecasts. The role will drive collaboration with Merchandising, Sales and Finance to reconcile forecast gaps and adjust the baseline forecast. The role will also identify trends, monitor historical sales and support the development of strategies to achieve division revenue goals.

Essential Responsibilities
! For each forecast milestone event, validate the channel roll-up of sales, margin, and style/color productivity metrics to meet team, channel, region, and company goals
! Assist in setting team goals for revenue, gross margin, inventory, and style/color productivity that meet overall channel/regional financial metrics
! Maintain Demand Plans for supporting channels and manage forecasts in ERP systems. Ensure data accuracy in reporting and management of forecasts.
! Maintain forecasts in Demand Planning System: ! Assist in seasonal Ranges and plan assortment with support from Merchandising, Sales and Product
! Assist in product/style ranking, collect feedback and develop top down forecasts
! YoY Trend analysis, manage product mix and comp-style mapping
! Maintain size distribution for assigned region/channels
! Manage 12-18mo statistical forecasts for TOMS core assortment, update monthly

! Provide analysis to support decisions to deploy in-season promotional and markdown strategies that meet inventory and financial goals
! Work across the matrix to insure all necessary data is available and accurately noted so financial metrics can be validated
! Communicate risks and opportunities to stakeholders and senior leadership
! Collaborate with Merchants, Buyers, and Supply Chain Management on seasonal channel buy strategies to support product initiatives, maximize in-stock, and inventory productivity
! Provide ongoing communication to the relevant teams/stakeholders regarding channel financial performance
! Support Demand Planning in monthly and seasonal product adoption events, sales forecast meetings, and S&OP meetings. Develop content to support and assist in demand reviews.

Requirements and Qualifications
! Demand Planning (3+ years)
! SAP or ERP Program (3+ years)
! Microsoft Office Suite
! SAP BI or Query experience (3+ years)
! Strong analytical capabilities
! Tableau - preferred
! Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP)
! Ability to collaborate and influence cross-functionally

Education and Experience
! Demand Planning experience required - preferably in a wholesale environment
! Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain or Business related field
! 5+ years of related work experience
! Ability to thrive in an environment with evolving processes and a high degree of ambiguity
! Ability to work with limited supervision
! Exceptional Follow-through
! Footwear or Fashion Apparel preferred
