Candidate Profile

As Store Manager, you’ll mentor, lead and encourage your team to success. Your approach must be big picture and balanced. You will be the standard-setter and the go-to resource for any of your team’s needs and all coaching. As the ultimate leader in the store, you innately know our brand and your customer and understand that our success rests in your customer’s experience. You are a reflection of your surrounding community and like your store and TOMS, are unique.

Position Responsibilities:

Sales and Service:
• Maximize profitability by exceeding store sales plan, KPI goals and driving store sales targets for team

• Analyze current and future store sales trends, pro-actively identifying business opportunities to improve sales metrics

• Responsible for an outstanding customer service experience by sharing the TOMS Give, product and brand knowledge to provide the highest level of care to customers

• Plan events and strategic partnerships at a store level to ingrain the TOMS store into the local community and our customers

Visual and Product Management:
• Manage and oversee store merchandising and responsible to maintain store look and feel in a compelling and exciting manner, while in accordance with company directives

• Utilize sales reports to track and analyze business and determine weekly objectives in partnership with the VM and/or Merchandising team

• Communicate product performance observations and offer real time feedback

• Consistently ensuring floor is fully stocked with merchandise, managing inventory levels and product flow

Store Operations:
• Implement and maintain store processes to efficiently and effectively operate your store, while maintaining your store budgets

• Manages cash administration, oversees the receiving of new shipments/RA’s, controls all returns, damages and refunds for consistency and compliance

• Maintaining optimal staffing and scheduling that meets store operational requirements, being responsive to traffic and business changes, while achieving labor % goals

• Overseeing loss prevention, shrink goals, monitoring store inventories and ensuring highest level of accuracy

• Accountable for store maintenance with general services, upkeep and orders

People and Human Resources:
• Directly recruit, hire and develop the store team to success, coaching staff through consistent feedback to create a team of strong brand ambassadors with excellent customer service

• Ensure proper training for all staff levels and recognize top talent for succession planning

• Handles all employee relations to create and foster a safe and healthy working environment

• Accountable for all HR procedures (payroll/timekeeping, safety, state/federal/company compliance)

Success Measures:
• Meet or exceed all sales targets and controllable expense budgets

• Direct connection to our customers through service, storytelling and unique TOMS experiences

• Acquisition of new customers and retention/loyalty of existing

• Increased customer education of TOMS Giving, Mission and product offerings

• Development and retention of talent

Qualifications & Experience
• 5+ year leader of retail/hospitality store environments

• College degree preferred

• Demonstrated track record of improving sales figures and KPI achievements

• Retail know-how with hands-on experience managing all aspects of a retail store

• A solid track record in talent management- recruiting, hiring, development

• The ability to communicate effectively with all levels

• A strong understanding of retail profit measures and the ability to exceed sales and expense goals

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends work hours as business dictates

• Carry, push, pull up to 30 pounds
