Job Summary:
The Packer-Stager is responsible for coordinating the staging process utilizing RF process and performing variance checks. The responsibilities include utilizing the Package Level Detail system to verify items and quantities against orders; prepare orders for shipment and assist with picking orders as needed.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Perform packing tasks assigned by Supervisor, i.e. repack main LTL packaging, rod packing and SDQ processing.
Perform variance checks utilizing the Package Level Detail system.
Assist management with timely placement of staff members.
Read orders for packing information, special instructions and pack accordingly.
Coordinate staging process utilizing RF process.
Adhere to customer requirements.
Perform additional responsibilities directed by Supervisor.
 
Job Qualifications:
Computer literate - AS400 knowledge and experience.
Forklift operations.
Lift 10-50 lbs. repetitively.
Must have good hand/eye coordination.
Must enjoy working as part of a team.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
Ability to pay attention to details.
Ability to match and verify product information accurately.
Ability to work in other areas as necessary.
Ability to work overtime as business requires.
Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to read, do basic mathematics.  Understand and respond to written and verbal instructions in English for the purposes of safety, work instructions, policies, etc.
 
Education:
High school diploma or degree preferred.
 
WORKING CONDITIONS
Environment:
Approximately 100% of the time performing job duties is spent indoors in a warehouse with limited heating or air conditioning.
The temperature of the work environment, when in the office, is moderate.
The temperature of the work environment in the warehouse may equal to the outside temperatures of the area.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee sometimes works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to the risk of electric shock.
Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
 
Physical Demands:
Frequently lift from overhead or below the waist
Occasionally  bend, twist, push, pull, climb, squat, crawl, kneel
Frequently reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stand and walk; grasp with hands and fingers; and lift (up to 50 lbs.)
Continuously sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls and key (i.e., computer, calculator, telephone).
 
Machines, Tools and Equipment
Frequently use copier, fax, and 10-key calculator
Continuously use writing instruments, computer and telephone
Continuously use Standup reach, propane sit-down, and picking lift forklifts
