Associate Brand Manager - Lazer Helmets

Job Summary:
Responsible for the management of the Lazer Helmet product line. The Brand Manager serves a leader to drive sales success of the Lazer product line. The core activities associated with this position are sales results, sales initiatives/ actions, competitor/ market knowledge, merchandise planning, and GTM and sales support. The Brand Manager is expected to utilize resources within the company and provide the needed expertise to manage product life cycles. The Brand Manager is expected to support the global planning team in development of product lineups as the liaison between the global planning team and the North American sales office.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Responsible for the products that fall under the Lazer Brand.
Work closely with internal departments such as Sales, GTM, marketing, supply chain, operations and product development as well as external resources like research firms, agencies etc. to bring each Brand’s strategy to life.
Collaborate with Sales to develop sales programs and initiatives/promotions to deliver targeted sales, share, volume and profit goals.
Work in alignment with Marketing Manager for the planning, budgeting and implementation of marketing promotions such as advertising, PR & content creation.
Works with GTM team to develop strategy calendar for Lazer helmets.
Provide bi-monthly or more, content for digital team to use on social digital channels.
Execute seasonal forecasting for Lazer helmets; providing direction to Supply Chain for inventory management/ and PO placement.
Report monthly on key business metrics and sales action performance.
Serve as the Brand’s principle point of contact to internal, external stakeholders.
Provide key communication to other departments and agencies including forecasting data and action plans.
Collect, interpret, report and act upon key market data.
Work closely with Global product teams to implement necessary product augmentations. Evaluate the sufficiency of the present product, utilizing all available data – consumer trends, consumer research, consumer comments, and competitive analysis – and be alert to changes to technology, competitive products, consumer needs and usage patterns that may dictate product changes. 
Merchandise a domestic assortment from the global lineup.
Identify key selling points – both features and benefits – make sure important messages are delivered in all communication.  Make sure all benefits are adequately explained to validate the core Brand promise.
Conduct competitive analysis and efficacy research. Communicate key findings to the organization.
Communicate product launches and/or product changes to the appropriate members of the organization.
Utilize consumer research to help direct Global product team.
Regularly assess the Brand’s market position.  Utilize all market data – SAKI reports, NPD data, consumer research and competitive analysis and make necessary adjustments and recommendations to improve the Brands’ market position. 
Identify gaps in market knowledge that can be filled with new consumer research.
Job Qualifications:
Five (5) or more years’ experience with independent bicycle retailer’s/bicycle industry.
Five (5) or more years’ experience with product and brand management
Understanding of bicycle OEM and OTC business models.
Thorough knowledge of bicycle components.
Experience managing people and working across cultures (Japan a plus).
Proficient in Microsoft including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree
