Job Summary:
Rod Packing Specialist is responsible for packing fishing rods, overseeing/providing training, SOP compliance and production in the rod packing area.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Operate order picker and forklift in and around distribution center.
Match and verify product information accurately.
Assist in LTL packing, line packing, labeling, shipment consolidation and shrink wrapping and loading.
Prepare orders for shipment by utilizing appropriate packaging materials and the Package Level Detail system to verify items and quantities on orders.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Job Qualifications:
Requires experience working in a distribution center/warehouse facility.
Forklift experience a plus but not required.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment and within time constraints.
Must be able to meet and maintain performance standards set by the company.
Lift up to 50 pounds repetitively.
Good communication and problem solving skills.
Prolonged standing, frequent bending and reaching.
Must be able to follow written and verbal directions.
Must be able to stack product on pallets correctly.
Must be able to properly stretch wrap product on pallets.
Attention to detail.
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
Approximately 100% of the time performing job duties is spent indoors in a warehouse with limited heating or air conditioning.
Approximately 75% of the time is spent on the computer.
Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. (Forklifts, Compactor, Skill Saw and Conveyor Belt)
The temperature of the work environment, on the warehouse floor, is moderate and ranges from 55–80 degrees.
Physical Demands:
Occasionally lift from overhead or below the waist.
Occasionally bend, twist, push, pull, climb, squat, crawl and kneel.
Frequently reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stand and walk; grasp with hands and fingers; and lift (up to 50 lbs.).
Continuously sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
Machines, Tools and Equipment
Continuously use copier, fax, printers, and 10-key calculator.
Continuously use writing instruments, computer and telephone.
