Job Summary:
The Digital Content Manager is responsible for the digital content creation of all Shimano’s fishing brands websites - Shimano, G. Loomis, PowerPro and Jackall.  You will work closely with the marketing team to create a web content strategy that aligns with Shimano’s wider goals and objectives. Must possess the ability to manage an engaging, informative library of online content that reflects our mission and values.  You should be comfortable with editing and optimizing written content for SEO and communicating directly with all members of the internal team, media and consumers.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Daily responsibilities will include: increasing the website profile and driving traffic through the site, ensuring products and content are uploaded accurately and efficiently, management of products, website copy and imagery;
Play a key role in optimizing all Shimano branded websites, working with external partners to provide an evolving world-class website that will integral to the future growth of the business;
Develop well-written, organized and relevant content for landing pages, website, emails, blogs infographics and catalogs;
Setting, achieving and reviewing KPIs against agreed targets, put in place corrective action to ensure they are met and make recommendations for change and improvement;
Creating and editing informative search engine optimized web content using HTML;
Targeting keywords set by marketing manager’s strategies and basing content around them;
Be the driving force for all digital content creation efforts for all Shimano brands for the U.S.;
Constantly develop new media relations to expand our content library;
Involved with all digital content development including press releases, content, photos and online promotions;
Creation of a content calendar to ensure regular content on the website throughout the year;
Create technically driven articles that demonstrate our products and their features;
The development of a series of customer journeys that effectively communicates brand values resulting in increased customer satisfaction at all stages of the customer journey;
Create, enhance or manage needed content for all forms of media as needed or assigned;
Use creative management tools provided for consistent content tracking and planning;
Continual interaction with other Shimano teams to coordinate all content creation efforts: Digital, Marketing and Sales teams;
Engage with Product team on all item changes to plan content that explains these changes;
Assist in managing photo and marketing resource library for all brands;
Keeping up to date with industry best practices and monitoring content activities of competitor websites;
Job Qualifications:
Detailed knowledge of content creation methods and the fishing industry;
Strong graphic arts creative abilities with common programs (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, etc.);
Ability to write both technical and engaging articles, press releases and sales bulletins. Good understanding of writing style or tone based on the audience you are speaking to;
Exceptional time management and planning skills;
Ability to demonstrate, write about and explain product technologies, features and benefits;
Ability to travel, work extended show hours and willing to work outside of normal office hours;
Advance knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
Good photography and videography skills;
High level technical knowledge of fishing, rod, reel, line and tackle requirements;
Prior experience in Outdoor Industry preferred;
Strong graphic art creative experience preferred;
Strong written and verbal communication skills;
Ability to look at projects and issues in a creative manor and develop engaging concepts and media in all forms;
Ability to educate and persuade an audience on all the feature and benefits of all company products;
Ability to work confidently and independently while representing Shimano in a professional manner
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts, or other creative related courses preferred.
