Are you a social media savant or an email-marketing expert? Then our digital marketing team is looking for you to join the team as the new Online Marketing Specialist. In this role you will support the brand marketing initiatives through the creation of digital marketing engagement and campaigns. This specialist is also responsible for the management of our social communities for Shimano and our supporting brands.
We are looking for a passionate person with a talent for creative writing and a strong pulse on social media. You must be detail oriented and have strong writing and grammar skills. As a specialist in your craft, Shimano will look to you to advise on new trends and current performance within the digital marketing landscape. Providing the organization with guidance on how to ensure maximum customer engagement with the Shimano brand and products.

Job Summary:
You will bring new ideas to the table, ensure best practices as well as ensure Shimano’s CI Guidelines are followed. You must enjoy creative writing and have an ability to activate our fan base via our social channels. Some travel will be required for special events. If you have a passion for cycling, writing with a fresh and creative look on digital marketing you might be the person we’re looking for!
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Content and Community Administration:
Manage and create content on Shimano North America web properties, managing press releases and news stories
Creating original content around events and athletes, bringing new ideas to the table
Support your internal team actions and provide digital guidance for local sales agencies and dealers.
Develop best practice strategies to drive key metrics from Social to Shimano owned digital properties
Create strategic outlines for specific campaigns and set KPI’s to measure by
Responsible for reporting on weekly and monthly social media metrics
Collaborate with Sales and Go To Market Team to promote Team Shimano message
Create and distribute Shimano North America Bicycle consumer email communications
Image editing and file management
Planning and Enhancements:
Work with Digital Marketing Manager to create a social calendar and web content calendar
Gather and measure analytics for future campaign improvements
Support:
Maintain a strong relationship between the Digital Team, Marketing Team, Go to Market, and Sales teams
Help direct Shimano North America Bicycle fans with customer service questions to appropriate person
Report on social media metrics and web metrics to Digital Marketing Manager
Work closely with Shimano global sale offices to share and distribute content when applicable
Job Qualifications: 
Expert with Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and emerging social networks
Must be proficient in a Windows environment including intermediate/advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
Content creation experience with attention to detail
Experience with SEO and online content best practices
Must be highly organized, with strong written and verbal communication skills required.
Experienced with social management and reporting platforms such Sprout Social, Falcon Social, Hoot Suite
Adept with Facebook Ads Manager/Business Manager and Facebook Global Pages
Proficient using the Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom
Enjoy working with a collaborative and creative team, but ultimately hold yourself to a higher standard because you’re a perfectionist of your own craft
Bike technical experience a plus
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field
