Distribution Center Manager

Job Summary:
The Distribution Center Manager is responsible for all aspects of DC Operations.  Ensuring a smooth and consistent operation so that  products are located and distributed in an effective and efficient manner to satisfy customer requirements. Oversees high efficiency 150,000 sq. ft. automated distribution operation which includes a management team and up to 70 associates.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Responsible for hiring, training, managing performances, conducting performance reviews and assisting with compensation analysis of the Distribution Center staff.
Manage and implement all facets of process controls for cycle counting, inventory management, order processing, inventory receipts, picking, packing and shipping operations, as well as office and administrative responsibilities.
Maintain a high level of accuracy (99.75%) for all inventory and outbound shipments.
Operate in an efficient and cost conscious manner so that all corporate budget key initiatives are achieved.
Produce performance reports and executive summary reports daily, weekly, and monthly.
Provide operational reporting to include inventory, productivity, throughput and accuracy.
Track productivity data and implement improvement programs for all of the facility’s shipping and packaging materials, equipment and supplies.
Provide facility maintenance, budgeting and cost analysis.
Communicate daily and ensure teamwork to improve service to all customers.
Understand process improvement initiatives and create a culture of efficiencies through solid business decisions.
Facilitate and schedule safety meetings to ensure compliance of safe work practices at all times.
Maintain a clean and organized facility that is “tour ready" at all times.
Job Qualifications:
10+ years’ experience in Distribution Center management.
Experienced in Excel, Word, Power Point and WMS systems.  Familiarity with AS400 a plus.
Excellent analytical skills and previous track record of developing and implementing process improvements.
Previous supervisory experience including managing employee relation issues.
Maintain stable performance and poise in high stress situations.
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills is a must.
Proficient in evaluating drayage and warehouse operational matrices. 
Ability to communicate both professionally and confidently.
Ability to create employee loyalty and meet service levels while cultivating efficiencies.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or Logistics
