SUMMARY

The Sporting Goods Division Manager is responsible for the development, implementation, and achievement of Sporting Goods (Swim and Snorkel) Domestic (AQA) sales plan that is consistent with the company's overall strategy. Leads team in the achievement of AQ America Sporting Goods (SG) Division sales and operating profit targets. Maintains a high level focus to increase sales, profitability, and support for all channels of SG retail customers selling Swim and Snorkel branded products to consumers. Lead efforts to develop specific strategies to add incremental sales volume via new customers in all appropriate channels of distribution. This individual will represent the needs of the Swim and Snorkel markets for product development and marketing initiatives. Responsible for the introduction of innovative and market trending Swim and Snorkel products to retail customers and works with Marketing to develop the marketing plan to launch these products.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Develops and implements Marketing and Sales Plan designed to achieve the Sporting Goods Division profitability objectives.
2. Directs the marketing of Sporting Goods products, pricing, promotions, and physical distribution.
3. Engages sales team to deliver on all sales and margin objectives as well as providing the highest level of service possible to the SG customers.
4. Works with, and provides market information to, the Snorkel and Swim BLM’s and SG product team to develop new products and packaging.
5. Supervises the Sales team, the Customer Support team and the SG Forecast Analyst/Planner and performs annual reviews for all relative personnel. Sets goals, and reviews goal performance.
6. Determines all pricing programs as well as company margins for all SG distribution channels and customers on annual basis and makes changes where necessary.
7. Improves brand awareness and positively communicates company capabilities through frequent personal contact with significant retailers, influence leaders, industry leaders, sales representatives, and Customer Support department.
8. Works with Sales team and Sales Support Department to ensure personnel are working efficiently, have appropriate product knowledge, are properly trained, are communicating effectively, are providing excellent customer service and are working to increase sales.
9. Prepares and is responsible for the annual Sporting Goods Sales & Margin and Departmental Expenses budget and tracks throughout the year to achieve or exceed budget goals and stated financial objectives.
10. Provides feedback from customers regarding product performance and new product, promotional, and positioning opportunities.
