You will also step inside the exciting world of retail and explore the fast-paced environment that keeps our customers coming back for more.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesAs a Finance FP&A function, providing a robust set of financial targets plays a key role in driving the growth and profitability of the business. The scope of this project is to support the expansion of retail stores, a key strategic pillar to become more DTC focused. The scope of this role involves cross functional collaboration to further understand payroll cost drivers, establish best practices, build and develop retail payroll reporting and planning tools. The successful outcome of this rookie program will lead to direct line of sight from the financials to store planned hours providing better visibility into one of the key cost drivers, and establishing more accountability of cost control. The project will support a deeper understanding of resource requirements (hours/cost) required to meet sales targets. The rookie will interact cross functionally with the finance, HR & retail teams to help drive alignment between financial and operating plans. This project will lead to the improvement of the forecasting process by adding more visibility of financials and key metrics leading to more optimized payroll planning.Analyze historic data, identifying key seasonal peaks for revenue and payrollWork cross functionally to determine key drivers and metrics to be used for payroll planning and reporting, assist with translating financial budgets (cost) into operational plans (hours)Build a bottom-up retail payroll model at a store level, factoring in key learnings from cross functional discussions, historic trends and key metrics. Recommend actions to drive payroll best practice within retail estate, establish more accountability and cost controlsQualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)Highly analyticalMicrosoft office proficiency, particularly ExcelStrong communicator with excellent inter-personal skillsPassionate about sports productsEducation And / Or ExperienceStudent of finance, accounting, business studies, or similarApplication process Successful candidates will be contacted within the first 2 weeks after application.
