Together our teammates are unified by our values and are grounded in our vision to inspire you with performance solutions you never knew you needed but can’t imagine living without.Position SummaryThe Director of Merchandising – North America will be given a rare opportunity to be part of a rapidly growing brand and division.  Passion, desire and integrity are traits we look for in our teammates.  This is a key role in the Wholesale Merchant Team and is accountable for continual success of an owned product category and future growth.  You will play a lead role in creating the product assortments across channels for the Region while partnering with key members of the Planning, Commercial & Global Merchandising Teams in progressing a profitable business.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesManage and define a merchandising vision and business strategy while reporting to the VP, America’s Merchandising and part of a vertical team of peer Merchants; influence and coach a secondary product vision with a developing Merchant team.Oversee and coach a team of Merchants in a scaled business for revenue and personal development success.Create and optimize product assortments across & within channels that will maximize potential for revenue and profit.Partner and lead a team of cross functional procedure experts assigned to the same category that include Planning, Allocations, Commercial, Marketing and Visual Merchandising partners.Align and partner with in-line partners to drive the vision and achieve growth & profitability potential.Create a Merchandising flow calendar that identifies key items, trends, and product launches appropriate to the product category.Represent the Region at the key Merchandising and GTM meetings while working with Global Merchandising and cross-functional teams.Determine strategy for floor planograms for product placement.  Influence collateral needs for product placement and emphasis.Analyze sales trends and make recommendations for strategic action.Analyze historical sales performances and use as influence in making Merchandising strategies for anniversary time periods.Foster positive relationships with the Account teams and getting their feedback and insight as to product needs and consumer reactions to product assortments and items.Facilitate and prepare appropriate assortment review sessions for product categories of responsibility Be a Connector, a transparent & effective communicator and trust-worthy teammateQualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)Ability to lead & influence cross-functional partners through strong and proven relationshipsAbility to successfully lead a cross-functional podAbility to communicate product strategies verbally and in writingAbility to coach & inspire their direct and extended Merchandising teammatesConsummate collaborator, effective communicator, consensus-builder and influencerStrong analytical and conceptual skillsEducation And / Or ExperienceMinimum of 10 years relevant merchandising or product experience (w/a min of 1.5 years at Director level) in a fast-paced, product-oriented, consumer-driven company, demonstrating proven career growth and increased responsibility. Experience with a variety of go-to market models (wholesale, direct-to-consumer, retail, digital, etc.) in a matrixed organizationTrack record of successfully motivating, collaborating with & influencing functional & cross-functional teammates across all levels of the organization (leadership, to peers to entry level)Demonstrable ability to drive change across a highly matrixed organization Track record of leading and managing teams through processes and change.Other RequirementsAbility to travel domestically and internationally (5-10%)Proficient in Microsoft Office SuiteSalary and RelocationWork/Life Integration: Hybrid - 2 days per week in our Baltimore Headquarters office; remaining days remote. Salary Range:  $153,000 - $210,000No Relocation Provided.#LI-HybridAt Under Armour, we are committed to providing an environment of mutual respect where equal employment opportunities are available to all applicants and teammates without regard to race, color, religion, sex, pregnancy (including childbirth, lactation and related medical conditions), national origin, age, physical and mental disability, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, genetic information (including characteristics and testing), military and veteran status, and any other characteristic protected by applicable law.  Under Armour believes that diversity and inclusion among our teammates is critical to our success as a global company, and we seek to recruit, develop and retain the most talented people from a diverse candidate pool.  | #LI-DNI
