Member of the Accounting team that will ensure accurate recording of Under Amour’s payroll accounting entries; participating in weekly and biweekly payroll journal entries and accruals.  The team member will also assist with the payroll and benefit monthly account reconciliations.  This position will impact a rapidly growing organization and offers career development opportunities to the right candidate.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Lead accounting process for Compensation & Benefits including, but not limited to, preparation of journal entries and accruals as required for month end accounting close
•Responsible for balance sheet account reconciliations such as accrued payroll, accrued bonus, payroll tax accounts, and benefits
•Work closely with UA Payroll team on related tax reconciliation processes for quarter and annual filings
•Working knowledge of Federal and State rules as it pertains to employee/employer taxes
•Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing, including coordinating with internal and external auditors to assist with quarterly and annual audits
•Work closely with internal teams to provide ad hoc analysis as needed as it relates to payroll
•Assist Accounting team with additional tasks as needed
CRITICAL SKILLS:
•Attention to detail
•ADP GlobalView
•SAP (ECC or FMS
•Advanced excel skills
•Strong organizational skills
•Knowledge of tax law
•Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills
QUALIFICATIONS:
•CPA or CPA candidate preferred
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
•1-3 years of Public and/or Corporate Accounting experience
•Accounting degree
COMPUTER SKILLS:
•Knowledge or experience using SAP is a plus
•Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
