Director –Basketball Footwear
Under Armour needs a product expert in the Team Sports Footwear category to take the lead for Basketball. The Director of Basketball will be given a rare opportunity to be part of a rapidly growing brand and be the driver in this growing category. Passion, desire and integrity are traits we look for in our teammates. You will play a key role in the product line management process and can make an instant impact to the business.

What will I do at UA?
Drive the Basketball Footwear business from concept to commercialization and execute a strategic plan that creates a unique advantage in the market place
Develop and communicate product vision for each season – including new product opportunities and ongoing releases.
Drive the Innovation process by identifying key insights from the consumer and problem solving.
Accountability and responsibility for building the Under Armour Basketball Product Range
Define product marketing requirements and manage the development process by translating user testing, sales and customer support feedback into feature/function requirements
Develop product requirements and communicate product vision for ongoing releases and new product opportunities.
Partner with Merchandising and Marketing in order to bring product to market
Understand the Global business model for keys to success in this category.
Mentor / Manage and grow your team.
Be the expert of the core consumer. Where they shop, How they shop, What they shop for and how they perceive it first hand.
Define and cultivate our growth in the Team/Specialty channel.
Know the competition at every price point.
Serve as the main conduit and work very closely with sports marketing and brand to ensure our products and athletes are in the appropriate footwear as well as our point of view is conveyed accurately in advertising and in store.
What does UA need from me?
Bachelors Degree
5+ years of related work experience
Product marketing experience
Strong presentation skills
Experience developing sales tools and executing final product mix
Experience developing pricing strategies and an assortment mix that supports the Brand positioning
Experience managing a team.
