The Global Retail Training Lead oversees training activities associated with Under Armour’s retail and corporate teams. The Global Retail Training Lead will be part of the learning and development team and will be responsible for the design, development and implementation of a comprehensive training strategy. Following principles of adult learning theory and Under Armour’s training standards, the Talent Development Lead will be expected to deliver high energy, high quality training through multiple learning methods. The role presents a significant opportunity for a highly skilled professional to provide direction and guidance on leading training practices and techniques related to sales and retail.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Develop and implement a training program for UA’s retail and corporate team, including analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation
Align closely with the retail and corporate team to develop a training timeline that meets the department’s need
Assess appropriate training delivery methods based on results of a comprehensive needs analysis
Conduct needs analysis in the field
Develop training materials that are aligned with adult learning principles
Organize and facilitate train the trainer sessions
Assess teammates’ mastery of new skills and provide related feedback to key stakeholders
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of materials and delivery
Act as a liaison between retail and the learning and development team
Critical Skills
Previous retail/sales experience
Knowledge of adult learning theories and innovative training delivery methods
Skilled in instructional design methodology
Adept facilitator with superior oral and written communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
Experience partnering with senior business leadership to drive and deliver results
Viewed as a trusted advisor with a successful track record in building and maintaining strong relationships at all levels of the organization
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s Degree with 5 – 8 years of training and sales/retail experience
10-25% travel required
