Under Armour is looking for a qualified, driven Staff Accountant to help support Under Armour’s Corporate Accounting team.  The Staff Accountant will assist in executing the vision for global accounting compliance and will interact directly with controllership, financial reporting and FP&A among other departments.  This resource will support the month-end close process and be responsible for analysis and reporting for the growing organization.  The individual will also maintain and control general ledger accounts and ensure that transactions are accounted for in accordance with US GAAP.  The staff accountant will report to the Corporate Accounting Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Preparation of various balance sheet account reconciliations
Preparation of various standard and non-standard journal entries as part of the month-end close process
Performance of various key financial controls
Ownership of accounting for fixed assets, prepaid expenses, accrued expenses and other balance sheet accounts
Support retail sales and cash reconciliation processes
Support with quarterly and year-end financial statement audits
Administration of account reconciliation and journal entry approval software, BlackLine
Ensure that all financial deadlines are met for month-end, quarter-end and year-end financial closings
Prepare and review materials for the accounting close meetings
Assist with implementation of initiatives to improve and optimize the global accounting close process
Serve as a key resource relative to the ERP system
Partner with and assist finance team in short-term and long-term budgeting
Assist with ad hoc analysis and reporting in support of Controllership
Assist in testing and implementing new global ERP system

Ability to research accounting rules and regulations and apply to specific scenarios
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Travel
Minimal travel
Education and/or Experience             
BS degree in Accounting
CPA or CPA candidate strongly preferred
1-3 years of accounting experience
Computer Skills                         
Proficiency in software programs such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Prior ERP Experience- SAP a plus
