SUMMARY: 
The Under Armour Global Ecommerce Team is currently seeking a Software Engineer. This role executes full lifecycle software development, writes well designed enterprise level defensive code, participates in code reviews, collaborates with teammates and stakeholders, completes projects both big and small, executes deployments, and offers production support for our Global Salesforce Commerce Cloud platform. The Software Engineer is an integral part of a passionate, focused and driven team that supports high impact projects that fuel our rapid growth by providing unparalleled service to deliver a great product.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
You are well versed in Ecommerce platforms (Salesforce, Demandware, Hybris, ATG, Magento) and will be a driving force behind launching new sites, while also growing existing ones. You will serve as a subject matter expert to support our global engineering and ecommerce teams.
You are a principal implementer of new features on Under Armour’s global ecommerce sites; you are involved in projects throughout their lifecycles.
You play an active role in leading the process of taking high-level, sometimes vague, business requirements and turning them into actionable user stories.
You collaborate with global teammates across many functions: product, creative, user experience, quality assurance, and engineering.
You will collaborate in brainstorming, designing, architecting and implementing new solutions, as well as suggesting tools, technologies, and best practices to improve performance and site quality.
As a major stakeholder in the health and well being of our websites, there is nobody better equipped to solve production problems rapidly and correctly.  You will act as one of our primary responders for emergency situations.
Technical Attributes & Experience of Ideal Candidate: include but are not limited to the following:
You have a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science (relevant work experience may be substituted) and 5+ years of hands on experience in an engineering environment.
You are highly proficient in multiple technologies including JavaScript, NodeJS, Java, PHP, CSS, HTML, XML, and JSON, along with the modern and emerging frameworks that support these technologies.
You have proven experience in working and integrating with APIs and 3rd Party systems integrations (SOAP/REST).
You are highly proficient with source control, including git. You have shipped large projects working as part of a cohesive team, and you can point to them online.
You are comfortable conducting code reviews and mentoring less senior engineers to ensure code usage and best practices are maintained for optimization of speed and performance.
You have supported a production Ecommerce platform and have experience debugging application issues.
You have experience working with both an in-house engineering team and an external consultant based engineering team.
You're comfortable describing the inner workings of a technology in prose or pictures. Your descriptions have varying levels of detail, depending on the situation -- sometimes you're talking about physical servers, sometimes it's classes or objects, and sometimes it's entire applications or APIs. In all cases, they are clear and informative.
You’re diligent in documenting and standardizing your work providing Enterprise level defensive code.
You are comfortable with analytics platforms and have experience tracking pages and events (Omniture, Google Analytics).
You work hard to stay current – blogs, open source contribution, technology groups – whatever it takes to allow you to not just know what’s going on, but to leverage that information into working strategies and adjustments to how you do your work.
