Senior Designer, Outdoor Apparel
The Senior Designer for Outdoor Apparel will be responsible for bringing the vision of the Brand to life through innovative, trend-right and Brand-right designs that are cutting-edge and fresh. The Senior Designer will synergize with other designers, product managers and developers. As a design leader, you will be tasked to collaborate with passion, integrity and motivation. We are an authentic brand that pushes the envelope every day; innovation is a key part of our success. We are looking for a designer who brings a strong point of view built on your own inspirations and ideas. This Senior Designer must have the ability to forge strong partnerships with his/her creative peers to create – from concept to reality – compelling, fun and fresh product coveted by outdoor athletes everywhere.
Responsibilities:
Manage a category of business from the design/technical side
Be the key partner in nurturing the brand identity and distinctive Under Armour apparel offerings with a creative and timeless design vision.
Design and present a collection’s story for the ''Under Armour Outdoor Apparel” to our team and customers under aggressive time lines.
Mentor Associate and Assistant Designers.
Develop and execute clear and detailed technical kits for development.
Interact cross functionally with PLM’s, Developers, Patternmakers and Fabric Developers on seasonal line development, including Fit Sessions.
Build and continually improve sports competency across all categories.
Requirements:
5+ years of Design experience required, preferably in the sports industry
Strong understanding/connection with Outdoor Apparel Consumer – passion for the category and the athletic mantra both personally and professionally.
Obsessive attention to detail at the levels of product design, presentation, and specification package creation.
Strong sense of color and use of pattern in design.
High communication skills for both interpersonal relationships and presentation – the ability to influence all cross functional partners to deliver unrivaled product on time and on target.
Proven track record designing innovative men’s performance active and lifestyle apparel with commercial success.
Fast, efficient, nimble. Experience working in a shifting and collaborative environment with a great deal of constructive feedback and input.
Ability to not only lead fearlessly as a senior contributor, but also take direction and work with a team.
Ideal candidate will have experience: Designing product across multiple sports / end uses including lifestyle
Exceptional Adobe Illustrator and PhotoShop skills.  Must be current.
Strong knowledge of garment construction and textiles, including price points and merchandising needs.

BA or BFA in Apparel Design.
Exceptional hand illustration skills.
Strong presentation skills and ability to sell your product
