As a Distribution Industrial Engineer you will play a vital role in driving productivity improvements by developing and maintaining Engineered Labor Standards, recommending and implementing process improvement projects, and configuring and maintaining Manhattan’s Labor Management System.
In this role, you will train all levels of distribution leadership on how to utilize the Labor Management System.  Distribution House Industrial Engineer’s also perform an array of functions to help the DH team achieve short and long term Quality, Service and Financial KPI’s while also developing processes that help drive a world class safety culture within the DH.
May include, but are not limited to, the following:
Maintains a clean and safe work environment and reports any unsafe working conditions or equipment.
Improves work methods by eliminating waste from processes.
Works with business partners to design and maintain Engineered Labor Standards for Manhattan Associates Labor Management System.
Partners with and trains Distribution Operations to effectively implement and Lead Change during Labor Management System implementation.
Assist in optimizing material flow through DH.
Provide support for MHE improvement.
Track and improve utilization of labor by monitoring Direct and Indirect percentages.
Provide analytical support to the Distribution Operations and Strategic Operations team for effectively measuring Labor Management performance, 3YP & 5YP Capacity and CapEx planning
Partners with other Distribution IE’s to maintain Process Uniformity and Labor Management consistency across the distribution network, including: Preferred Work Methods
Activity-Based Costing/CPU Modeling
Labor Monitoring and Labor Planning
Capacity Inputs/Modeling

Demonstrates willingness to train and assist cross-functionally in other areas of the DH.
May work in various departments as needed.

BA/BS Degree (Engineering Degree or Supply Chain Degree )
Analytical In Nature – Ability to compile data, analysis data and develop recommendations on data
Working Knowledge of MS Excel, SQL and MS Access
Self-Starter, Strong Willingness to Learn
Excellent Interpersonal and Communications Skills Required
Ability to develop presentations for Sr. Managers, Directors and Sr. Directors
Ability to complete work in a timely manner and in short time frames
Strong willingness to learn
Excellent team player and great UA cultural fit
Frequent or continuous standing, lifting, walking and bending.
Regularly handles objects, tools, and/or controls; reaches with arms.
May frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds overhead.

The essential functions of the job are usually performed indoors and may rarely be performed outdoors, including during both hot and cold weather.  Work performed will be near or involving moving mechanical equipment.  Work may be performed at heights of up to 50 feet.
