The Senior Manager, HR Business Partner (HRBP) will be responsible for the full spectrum of HR practices for the Baltimore-area Distribution Houses. We are seeking an individual, ideally with operations start-up experience, to partner with the Distribution leadership team in all aspects of the transition and ongoing operations for Under Armour’s Omni-Channel Distribution House. The HRBP will also support the distribution strategy by acting as a liaison between corporate centers of excellence and the three US-based distribution centers to oversee projects and initiatives. Additionally, this role will support the Global Logistics leadership team to include; talent strategy, succession planning & performance management, talent acquisition, training & organizational development, associate relations, compensation & benefits.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Provides on-site Human Resources partnership to the Distribution Operation and Floor Leadership team in the application and interpretation of HR polices and through personnel matters
Plays a key role in the design and development of the Distribution House teammate staffing and workforce planning initiatives, as well as on-going oversight of the teammate population.
Lead new projects and initiatives across all Distribution Centers to ensure alignment and consistency.
Provide coaching and counseling to teammates and executive business leaders on organizational management and development.
Promote and establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale; drive the UA culture through all levels of the business unit.
Work closely with business unit leaders to assess in-house talent and create strategy to identify and retain current talent as well as attract outside talent to the business; prepare exit strategy for non-performers.
Provide coaching and counseling to business partners in all areas of Human Capital.
Proactively seek knowledge of both industry and functional specialty researching best practices, legal developments, emerging trends, technological advancements and benchmark comparison’s in order to create HR practices that are best in class.
Act as a consultant to influence the business, deliver constructive advice, diagnose and resolve problems and positively influence change.
Partners with leaders to determine needs for the associates ensuring alignment with corporate direction, strategic initiatives and Human Resources best practices. (e.g., talent recruitment, development and training; associate engagement; succession planning; performance management; legal/regulatory compliance; compensation, safety and benefit policies and practices)
Lead, develop, and support the development and execution of succession plans and conduct talent reviews to assist with implementation of succession plans, in partnership with the district/regional leadership team.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Manage a team of Human Resources professionals by supporting professional development, monitoring weekly duties, identifying projects, encouraging client group engagement and ensuring efficient workflow through the HR office. 
Will carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and coaching; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Critical Skills/Competencies:
Proven knowledge of all core HR processes including performance management, leadership development, talent management, compensation, succession planning, training and organizational development.
Prior experience providing confidential counseling and coaching to all levels of the organization.  Exercising judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
Ability to identify strategic needs, resource key projects, develop recommendations, and lead change implementation with little or no direction.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and business acumen as demonstrated through previous work experience and accomplishments.  This includes translating people-related metrics to actionable results. 
Strong written and oral communication skills.  Prior experience clearly expressing complex ideas and strong presentation skills.
Strong organizational skills, ability to effectively disseminate information in a clear and concise manner.
Judgment - Displays willingness to make decisions; Exhibits sound and accurate judgment; Supports and explains reasoning for decisions; Includes appropriate people in decision-making process; Makes timely decisions.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university or equivalent experience required.
5-7 years of experience in Human Resources or related experience.  Prior distribution experience preferred.PHR or SPHR certification preferred
