The Compliance Manager is a key member of the Global Ethics & Compliance team and is instrumental in ensuring the compliance of people and processes with global laws and UA requirements. This role will manage the day-to-day operations of the Compliance program supporting UA’s global structure. This will entail working directly with cross-functional teammates throughout the business and operations to drive accountability, establish appropriate compliance controls, and promote a culture of compliance.
Oversee global policy management and assist with the development of policies and procedures to mitigate new risks as they emerge.
Identify best practices in ethics and compliance and champion adoption as appropriate
Support the implementation of compliance program enhancement initiatives and process improvements (in particular related to employee training, anti-bribery, antitrust, UA Code of Conduct and related internal policies)
Manage UA’s third party due diligence process, coordinating the appropriate level of review and communicating the findings
Serve at the primary point of contact for global Compliance Champions for communication plans, reports, and issue escalation
Support the training and communications strategy to educate global teammates on top legal and compliance risks in order to promote proper conduct, including tracking, assessment, course development and refinement
Prepare reports and materials for leaders within the company and Audit Committee
Maintain the highest level of confidentiality
Support investigations of potential violations of law and policy (e.g., anti-bribery, antitrust, UA code of ethics and related internal policies) as needed
Provide support to enterprise risk management (ERM) function through critical phases as needed
This position has no formal reports, but may in the future as internal resourced needs are assessed as the business expands and the compliance program grows.

Proven ability to build effective working relationships and credibility without formal reporting lines
Strong persuasive writing and presentation skills (strength in developing PowerPoint and other presentation materials a plus)
Strong project management skills, including the ability to track progress towards milestones and deadlines and effectively provide updates
Ability to work independently
Ability to master key compliance risk areas (preventive program development, enforcement and/or investigations) including data privacy, antitrust, anti-bribery regulations (FCPA/UK Bribery Act)
Ability to go beyond a pure legal approach to compliance
Understanding of related operational, financial and system processes
Ability to translate complex legal and regulatory information in concise, simple, easy to understand terms (communication/training)
Pragmatic and strong problem-solving skills
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
BA/BS from accredited undergraduate school and superior academic accomplishment
At least three years working in a corporate legal, regulatory, or compliance environment (retail/consumer company a plus)
Compliance industry certification is a plus (Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional/CCEP or Leading Practitioner in Ethics & Compliance/LPEC)
