Summary
Under Armour is looking for a Sr. Design Manager of Apparel Innovation, with a focus on technical outerwear product. We are looking at design to lead the brand vision in Outdoor going forward. We need a self-motivated Sr. Design Manager that wants to be part of a fast-evolving brand with significant career growth potential. You will work collaboratively with cross functional Apparel, Footwear, Digital & Accessories teammates to create innovative and industry-leading products and technology platforms.
       Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
•     Manage innovation platforms from the design side, inclusive of work load, design direction and problem-solving.
•     Be a key partner in creating new visual identities for products and platforms, with an emphasis on functional applications of materials and methods-of-make which solve meaningful problems for athletes.
•     Present apparel innovation concepts in a storytelling manner which both explain product and platform benefits while also making a memorable experience 
•     Develop and execute clear and detailed technical packages for development.
•     Ensure projects meet performance metrics, have a clear POV, and meet development time lines.
•     Express ideas in a variety of ways including sketches, marker rendering, flat illustrations and 3-d models/renderings.

Requirements 
•     BFA or BID in Apparel Design with 7+ years of experience and 2+ years of management experience; preferably in the sports apparel industry
Strong understanding/connection with Athletic Youth Consumer – passion for the category and the athletic mantra both personally and professionally
Obsessive attention to detail at the levels of product design, presentation, and specification package creation.
Strong sense of color and use of pattern in design
High communication skills for both interpersonal relationships and presentation – the ability to influence all cross functional partners to deliver unrivaled product on time and on target
Proven track record designing innovative women’s performance active and lifestyle apparel with commercial success
