SENIOR MANAGER, GLOBAL BRAND COMMUNICATIONS
SUMMARY
The Senior Manager, Global Brand Communications serves as an integral member of the communications team, and will play a key role in the development of Under Armour’s external communication strategy and will contribute to the organizational strategic planning process. This position will develop world-class communications plans directly managing communications activities that promote, enhance, and protect the organization’s brand reputation. This role will work cross functionally to drive UA’s point of view with media around the world.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Oversee all aspects of the communications strategy; Provide strategic counsel, leadership and vision for the Under Armour Brand to help achieve category-specific, global business objectives and help enhance the brand image worldwide.?
Develop subject matter expertise across specific categories (Categories are TBD). ?
Develop, integrate, and implement a broad range of public relations activities including storytelling content relative to the strategic direction and positioning of sport categories, and the athletes and products within them.
Direct and work with a global team to develop and implement plans against key business initiatives, product innovations and category campaigns.
Collaborate with marketing, product, and sales team to ensure consistency and deliver successful communication programs garnering extensive media coverage in top broadcast, print, online outlets and digital platforms.
Develop editorial narratives and content for UA’s Newsroom platform to amplify a variety of initiatives.
Provide strategic counsel and messaging development for the Under Armour leadership team to help achieve global business objectives and elevate the brand worldwide.
Direct and manage public relations agencies across the globe to support category initiatives.
Guide issue management as it pertains to your area of the business, and be part of cross-functional task force that leads active and reactive position on minor to major reputational management issues.                   
WHAT HAVE YOU ACCOMPLISHED ALREADY:
B.S. Degree in journalism, communications, or marketing
10+ years of experience in public relations and marketing or related field. Additional data analysis, social media and content creation experience preferred
Superior written and verbal communication skills and strong knowledge of current media landscape
Solid organizational and leadership skills
Established media relationships in business, trade, and consumer media at all levels in the global marketing, consumer, sport, innovation and tech industries
Proven track record of working effectively in a fast-paced environment
Prior experience working for a global company with a strong, premium brand and a distinct culture
Experience working for either a start-up or high-growth organization is a plus
Experience working for a tech or innovation organization is a plus
Significant executive presence, confidence, and preparedness to be able to meet and engage with highest level of executives and athletes in the world
Experience conducting business and partnering with executives and teams in multiple regions globally, a plus
Proficient utilizing Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Power Point, Keynote
Social Media and data analytics experience
Proficient in Cision, Muck Rack etc. PR Database

Travel, both in the U.S. and internationally including potentially holidays and weekends.
