Summary
The Interior Design Lead is responsible for the day to day planning and design of Tenant Improvement, Ground Up and Technology projects within the Corporate Real Estate portfolio.  Responsibilities include team collaboration, internal client interface, programming, planning, design development, construction document coordination, construction coordination, and support of financial tracking.  This role includes design and planning of projects throughout the global portfolio.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Managing Work FlowCollaborate with team on turnkey projects through all phases of development, from initial analysis through closeout.
Partner with project managers (internal and external) to effectively execute projects.
Partner with Space and Occupancy Planner to effectively manage design projects in concert with relocation and move projects.
Support and assist all corporate real estate in the ongoing maintenance of the global design standards. Effectively onboard internal and external partners.
Coordination and implementation of technology solutions.

Resource ManagementLead, Manage & Coordinate successfully with all resources including but not limited to:
Architects, designers, and engineers
3rd Party Project Management Firms
General Contractors and sub-contractors
Permit expeditors and building officials
Engineers and Consultants
FF&E dealers and providers
Signage and Branding vendors
Facilities and Operations
Space and Occupancy Planner

Presentation ResponsibilitiesDevelop appropriate level of documentation to team and/or external resources on design and development efforts to support real estate projects.
Coordinate schedules and documentation to ensure proper tracking of projects and costing. 

Critical Skills:
Design and Planning
Detailed knowledge and execution of programing and reporting.
Strong knowledge and experience of the design process, including FF&E.
Proven experience in material and color sections and material application.
Ability to generate complete and relevant furniture specifications and coordinate with furniture dealers.
Proven experience in tracking schedules with consistent on time project delivery.
Able to demonstrate creative problem-solving techniques to resolve project issues.
Basic building code and ADA knowledge.
Direct experience in developing custom millwork and furniture solutions.
Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing of custom millwork and signage.
Knowledge of branding and interior signage and way finding (Desired).
Understanding of signage and branding fabrication a plus but not required.
GeneralUnderstanding of the local or regional codes and ordinances to inform design solutions.
Proficient at reading and interpreting construction documents and fabrication drawings.
Partner with internal client representatives to develop win/win solutions.
Understanding of the local or regional codes and ordinances that inform a building design
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to Travel

Computer Skills
Proficiency in AutoCAD
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint  
Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign and Keynote
3d Modeling (desired), Sketchup or Form-Z experience a plus.
Education and/or Experience:
6-8 years of Commercial Interior Design experience
College degree required in a development core discipline such as Interior Design, Interior Architecture.
