Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Lead development of a product category from design concept to production
Directly responsible for conducting proto review sessions, capture comments and style modifications in PLM system
Responsible for building technical packages including Tech-packs, Bill of Materials, specs, pattern blocks, construction, etc.
Responsible for maintaining category standards for fit, construction and quality
Responsible for utilizing pattern blocks for the category and maintaining a pattern library
Responsible for daily communication with regional teammates and overseas vendors
Responsible for daily and seasonal tracking of prototype samples
Accountable for meeting development calendar dates and start of production timelines
Ability to work effectively cross-functionally;  Must be able to effectively problem solve design, construction, costing, quality, testing and delivery issues
Domestic and overseas travel as necessary
Give product presentations related to fit and construction

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree from a 4 year Fashion Design program, Industrial Design,
Minimum 4 years relative industry experience
Product development experience
Patternmaking skills is a plus
Demonstrate understanding of fit, testing, and product requirements
Experience reviewing product and able to document revisions
Experience working directly with vendors and external partners
Expertise building Development & Production Tech Packs
Demonstrates understanding of color, material, trims development, construction and manufacturing methods and processes.
Proficient in Adobe Illustrator
Proficient in a PDM/PLM system
Factory travel is a plus
Must have superior written and verbal communication skills.  Must be able to lead product presentations in a clear, concise, engaging manner.
Ability to work effectively cross-functionally;  Must be able to effectively problem solve design, costing, quality and delivery issues
