Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)
Develop and facilitate apparel innovation and material development projects to create products rooted in performance testing across multiple categories (run, train, outdoor, etc.) (100%)
Participate in the development of new tools, methods and procedures that will streamline data acquisition (11%)
Collaborate and agree on research priorities and project definitions (26%)
Optimize research and lead data collection process (24%)
Collaborate with external assets (testers, consultants, facilities, coaches, athletes, etc.) and internal teams including (Development, Design, Biomechanics, Consumer Insights, Factory Partners, Inline Teams, etc.) (89%)
Partner with Materials Testing teams to deliver holistic product reports (27%)
Develop a robust program to explore athlete insights and authenticate athlete performance benefits (100%)
Participate in the broader UA Innovation community (100%)
Facilitate and collaborate on product validation and testing (100%)

Desire and ability to take risks, and to take responsibility for results – must be a finisher.  Strong intuition to find and solve problems using both consumer insight and design thinking.
Excellent Mac or PC computer skills.  Other computer skills a plus: Microsoft Office, spreadsheet, database and statistical software
Must be creative, detail oriented, able to prioritize tasks and work under pressure to successfully meet multiple deadlines
Excellent communication skills
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Education: Bachelor’s degree preferably in a science related field
Experience:  Solid understanding of apparel design, construction and materials.  Experience working with apparel product creation team or consumer product testing. Ability to engage and recruit testers (experience in a consumer relation position)
