Under Armour is seeking a Merchandising Manager to join a talented, passionate and results-oriented regional category merchandising team. As a key member of the team, this individual will be the expert for their category(s) across the North America landscape, inclusive of Direct to Consumer, and will build strategies, assortments and segmentation that help the region achieve growth.  A successful teammate will have a strong understanding of the Go-To-Market process and work collaboratively with Global merchandising, Channel Merchandising, Planning, Marketing, & Visual Merchandising to ensure successful execution.

What will I do at under Armour?
Define the regional product assortment strategy for the Category. Help to define customer needs across the various channels in the region to create powerful merchandising plans that drive sales, support the brand, & service the various consumers.
Identify the optimal product mix (Right product, Right place, Right price & Right time) working to maximize potential for revenue and profit.
Align and partner with Category Marketing & Channel Merchandising to drive big stories for appropriate consumer(s). 
Lead all category discussions for the region with Global Merchandising throughout the GTM process to ensure successful alignment and implementation of key strategies.  Drive the category point of view for the region regarding market opportunities, consumer insights and product assortments. 
Act as a business partner with Regional Channel Merchandising, Sales, Planning, Marketing, and Visual Merchandising to ensure global strategies are supportive of the channels, accounts, and marketplace. 
Consolidate feedback from channel merchandising and market, both qualitative and quantitative, into actionable follow-up for Global Merchandising teams.
Analyze sales trends, market share, and competitive landscape and make recommendations for strategic action.
Regularly visit and Understand local markets to develop expertise in consumer purchase behavior.
What does Under Armour need from me?
5+ years merchandising and/or buying experience
Proven ability to grow category sales via merchandising and assortment optimization efforts.
Proven quantitative capabilities with the ability to assess data, identify trends & define actions to drive results.
Inquisitive approach to learning and ability to problem solving. Proactive, high energy, self-starter with ability to drive results in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment
Proven ability and leadership skills in prior roles to effectively work in a cross-functional environment to deliver compelling product presentations.
Proven ability to contribute to visioning and idea generation.
Strong communication skills – written and verbal.
Demonstrates ability to establish an independent view while effectively collaborating in decision-making forums.
Experience interacting with national wholesale accounts preferred.
A strong interest in sports and fitness which will translate into authenticity and company connection.
Strong foundation in retail math.
Bachelor’s degree required (preferred focus in areas such as Business, Merchandising, or Marketing)
