Under Armour is seeking a Senior Merchant to join a passionate and results-oriented online merchandising team. This individual will have responsibility for exceeding sales and conversion goals.  As a Senior Lead, this individual will partner with our planning team to develop a seasonal assortment strategy. In addition, this individual will be the driving force behind planning & partnering to develop compelling content and selling features in support of our merchandising vision. This individual will apply a strong understanding of online merchandising metrics and concepts to build a best-in-class customer experience.

What will I do at under Armour?
(Assortment Strategy) Define the product assortment strategy on our website. Use the ability to define customer needs to create powerful merchandising plans that drive sales and support the brand.  Identify the optimal product mix (breadth and depth), price point distribution, web exclusive opportunities and other components required to drive annual projected demand. Partner with Regional Merchandising to provide input to future seasons, based on what the specific Ecom consumer needs.
 (Driving results) Accountable for ensuring the category meets or exceeds seasonal demand goals.  Define the weekly, seasonal, and annual data needed to understand the performance and behaviors of users.  Leverage data and analyses on an on-going basis to identify key actions to drive results. Communicate performance to key stakeholders on a weekly, seasonal, and annual basis.
(Analysis) Identify and manage actions to improve product page view rates, add to bag rates, and conversion in-season via content improvements, product page optimization, search optimization, etc.  Perform weekly analysis selling, site behaviors, etc. Report out on business to internal and external partners.
(Projects/Content)  Ensure authenticity in merchandising features on the site. Create seasonal online merchandising plans that support key product stories and campaigns. Partner with Content and Global Ecom teams to translate plans into features and content that is brand-right, highly engaging, and ultimately drives product exploration and conversion.
(Marketing) Partner with Regional Category & Channel Marketing teammates to enable an authentic representation, ensure timely representation of corporate campaigns, and acquire brand assets needed in support of seasonal content plans.
(Presentation) Manage the in-season execution of web site product, stories and merchandising plan. Develop content requirements for each launch and adjust/ reprioritize based on selling, customer feedback, shifts in business priorities, etc.
(Cross-Functional interaction) Act as liaison and business partner with Inventory Planning, Performance Marketing, Creative, Copy and Photography teams to ensure UA shows up strong in market.
(Leadership) Manage a team of
What does Under Armour need from me?
8+ years merchandising experience with a top 200 eTailer or top 100 multi-channel retailers with strong experience in online merchandising and web analytics (preferred)
Proven ability to grow category sales via merchandising and assortment optimization efforts.
Ability to translate business objectives and product stories into online features and content that are authentic, compelling, and ultimately drive improvements in key performance indicators. Ability to create exceptional merchandising elements and content that inspires our online buyers. 
Proven quantitative capabilities with the ability to assess data, identify trends & define actions to drive results.
Inquisitive approach to learning and ability to problem solving. Proactive, high energy, self-starter with ability to drive results in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment
Proven ability and leadership skills in prior roles to effectively work in a cross-functional environment to deliver compelling product presentations.
Proven ability to contribute to visioning and idea generation.
Strong communication skills – written and verbal
Demonstrated ability to self-start and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrates ability to establish an independent view while effectively collaborating in decision-making forums
Strong foundation in retail math and web analytics with experience publishing selling recaps and dashboards.
A strong interest in sports and fitness which will translate into authenticity and company connection.
Bachelor’s degree required (preferred focus in areas such as Business, Merchandising, or Marketing)
