Summary:  The Senior Paralegal will interface with supported business units in accordance with his/her responsibilities and support in-house counsel in the enforcement of Under Armour’s Trademark and Patent portfolio and review of advertising materials.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assist with US and foreign Intellectual Property litigation and office proceedings, including collection and review of evidence of use, documents and other materials
Assist with preliminary and online investigations into potential trademark infringements
Assist with drafting legal documents, including cease and desist letters, fame affidavits, and Notices of Opposition
Liaise with outside law firms, vendors and internal business partners as needed for pending enforcement matters
Conduct and analyze U.S. and international product clearance screenings to determine availability of proposed trademarks, taglines, product names, and other consumer facing content
Communicate with internal clients regarding proper use of Intellectual Property in marketing materials and placement on products
Review packaging, point-of-sale, digital content and marketing materials to provide intellectual property clearance and confirm compliance with applicable laws and regulations
Supervise and delegate work to other paralegals and legal assistants
Competencies/Qualifications
Willingness to work as part of a team and ability to work independently
Strong project management abilities and organizational skills
7-8 years of experience in-house or law firm focusing on intellectual property or marketing
Ability to maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive and confidential material
Detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Occasional extra hours may be required during peak times                              
Education and/or Experience
Undergraduate degree from 4 year college or university required, legal courses a plus
Paralegal experience preferred
