SummaryUnder Armour is seeking a technical, curious, and driven Analytics Software Engineer to join our growing Ecommerce Engineering team. The Analytics Software Engineer will be responsible for Global Ecom tag management and data collection at Under Armour. They will architect and implement solutions to enhance existing onsite tracking, create global standards, and add tracking for new website launches and feature testing. This role is a critical partner to the Analytics & Optimization team, to ensure key business objectives are measurable and accurately tracked. The ideal candidate has a passion for data and is eager to find creative solutions to technical challenges. Due to the Global nature of this role, this candidate will collaborate closely with partners locally and from offices around the globe, enabling UA teammates to work smarter through data driven decisions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Execute full lifecycle software development to deployment
Design and implement customized analytics solutions to meet data collection and reporting needs
Build and maintain Javascript functions across multiple platforms
Write well designed, testable, efficient code
Document and maintain software functionality
Validate and debug implementation
Communicate across various teams and vendors
High proficiency in web technologies such as Javascript, HTML, and CSS along with the modern and emerging technologies.
Proficiency with source control including Git
Proficiency with command line navigation
Strong analytical skills, attention to details
Experience working in a highly collaborative environment, with great communication skills
Bonus Points
Familiarity with Tag Management Tools (Adobe DTM/Launch, Tealium, etc)
Familiarity with marketing pixel implementations
Experience with analytics tools (Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics)
Experience using project tracking software such as JIRA
Knowledge of analytics tracking and A/B testing
Hands on experience with Adobe Target
Education and/or ExperienceWe're looking for someone who has a strong desire to learn and be challenged, and is quick to pick up new concepts. While a BS in CS or related field with 1+ years of comparable experience is a plus, we know that there's more than one path to becoming a software engineer. What matters most is a strong passion for development, and the ability to dig in to solve problems.
