SummaryUnder Armour is looking for a Vice President of Planning - North America. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for developing and executing dynamic operational plans that will enable the North America region to meet its sales and service objectives while balancing responsible inventory management. 
Essential Duties & Capabilities:
Design & optimize the interdependent work processes of Wholesale & DTC Planning, In-Season Analytics, Demand Planning and Inventory Management to drive Go-to-Market strategies and Financial objectives within the Region.  In partnership with Global Planning, drive consistent, scalable Sales Planning methodologies tailored to the business needs of nuanced sub-channels within Wholesale & DTC.  Partner with Pods (Sales, Merch & Finance) to develop retail sales & receipt targets that optimize sales, margin & turn for each channel / account.
Monitor and report relationship between financial targets and sales plans at monthly Channel Reviews.  Drive action to close gaps as they are identified.
Leverage Merchandising to gain strong command of seasonal product strategies, big stories, distribution segmentation, etc.
Build and maintain bottoms-up account group / article level plans for DTC & Wholesale.  Support Sales in compelling sell-in process to convert plans to bookings in Wholesale.
Reconcile sales plans to customer bookings and selling trends. Report liabilities and gains to plan on an on-going basis.
Analyze, evaluate & share retail selling performance to drive short-term & long-term action plans among the Pods.


Strengthen connection points between UA Category Management and North America Planning. Actively participate in the Consensus process to align and streamline Under Amour’s Go-to-Market strategy.
Contribute to the facilitation of a robust North America S&OP process that fosters data driven decision-making. Provide guidance and strategic direction to minimize business exposure yet maintain flexibility to maximize future opportunities.
Vet demand plans against inventory levels.  Help define rules for inventory management and liquidation.  Set guidelines for in-season inventory management (markdowns, returns, etc.).
Strengthen connection points between Planning & Finance throughout the process to ensure appropriate levels of inventory are procured to drive stated revenue targets.
Sustain a fast-paced, fact-based, accountability driven culture.  Deep knowledge of end-to-end supply chain.  Foster an environment of operational excellence and drive our supply chain to being predictive. 
Mastery of planning systems.  Actively drive vision towards the automation and integration of planning tools.
Proven track record in driving successful inventory/working capital strategies, lead-time responsiveness and customer service levels.

Demonstrate excellence in Leadership. Direct accountability and leadership of the DTC Planning  Wholesale Planning, Demand Planning, In-Season Planning, Auto-Replenishment Planning and Inventory Management teams.
Ability to work at both strategic and executional levels and to build organizational capability to sustain results through dynamic market conditions.
Ability to operate with confidence and conviction to effectively engage with, challenge, and work with other senior leaders.
Ability to develop & engage diverse talent across multiple geographies.
