At Under Armour, our products have a compelling story to tell: Everything Makes You Better.  The Merchandising Team connects the right products to the right consumers to meet their needs.  This position will support and execute on UA’s overall brand, category and regional strategies in a specific distribution channel of North America. 
Specific responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:
Lead Accessory and Slides Regional Category discussions for the region with Global Category throughout the GTM process to ensure successful alignment and implementation of key strategies.  Drive the category point of view for the region regarding market opportunities, consumer insights and product assortments. 
Define the regional product assortment strategy. Help to define customer needs across the various channels in the region to create powerful merchandising plans that drive sales, support the brand, & service the various consumers.
Own business statistics, inclusive of sales history, market trends, channel requirements, and product mix and apply to seasonal input milestones.
Identify the optimal product mix (Right product, Right place, Right price & Right time) working to maximize potential for revenue and profit, while ensuring category vision and stories are being told in market.
Align and partner with Global Category, Regional Marketing and Channel Merchandising to drive big stories and key initiatives for appropriate consumer(s).
Consolidating all NA commercial feedback into singular direction surrounding market opportunities and consumer insights.  Example topics include: trends, assortment needs, product pricing, etc.
Act as a business partner with Regional Channel Merchandising, Sales, Planning, Marketing, and Visual Merchandising to ensure global strategies are supportive of the channels, accounts, and marketplace. 
Analyze sales trends, market share, and competitive landscape to make recommendations for strategic action.
Build and present clearly understood documents and decks targeted at internal and external audiences; with ability to present to both small and large audiences.
Regularly visit and Understand local markets to develop expertise in consumer purchase behavior.
Go-to-market operational discipline.  Ensuring deadlines are met to effectively bring strategies to life.
Professional Experience / Qualifications
The role will need to work cross-functionally throughout UA’s matrixed environment in a collaborative, supportive way.  We need a goal oriented individual, who can drive consensus, operate with direction to provide clear paths toward business opportunities.
The ideal candidate will be a clear communicator and strong operator with a minimum of 3+ years of experience in retail, merchandising, or product development positions.  The individual will likely have experience in a well-regarded consumer products company, and a professional/personal involvement and/or relationship with both performance apparel and footwear. 
Education:
An undergraduate degree is required.
