Are you an experienced Tax Manager or Senior Manager in public accounting or in a corporate tax department who is ready to take the next step in your career? Under Armour is looking for a Senior Manager, Global Tax.  The Senior Manager, Global Tax will own all aspects of the tax accounting, reporting, and domestic compliance processes for Under Armour and can join us after the 2018 compliance business season; we will wait to get the best candidate.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Develop a detailed understanding of the Company’s domestic and global operations
Develop good working relationships with key stakeholders with an emphasis on Accounting, Legal, Treasury, Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) and Human Resources departments and external tax advisors.
Responsible for the process and review of the global ASC 740 income tax provision, with assistance from the International Tax Manager
Responsible for the ASC 740 reserve (FIN48) analysis, documentation and inclusion in the income tax provision
Facilitation of quarterly reviews and annual audits of the ASC 740 provisions with our external auditors
Partner with the Senior Manager, Global Tax Planning to ensure all tax planning projects are accurately reflected in the Company’s income tax provision
Ownership of the tax disclosures and footnotes for the SEC Form 10-K and 10-Qs
Ownership of the SOX controls over ASC 740 income tax provision and tax compliance
Manage all domestic corporate income, and franchise tax return compliance with external service providers
Manage all domestic income and franchise tax return estimated tax payments
Manage domestic components of IRS audits
Manage all state and local corporate income and franchise tax audits
Manage correspondence with federal, state and local jurisdictions and resolve tax issues
Manage tax depreciation books within fixed asset software
Management of federal, state and local tax consulting expenditures to budget
Assist the Senior Manager, Global Tax Planning with the forecasting of the effective tax rate for domestic entities
Serve as a resource to the Payroll & HR teams for issues and explanations of tax laws and procedures
Serve as a resource to Legal team for tax review of contracts and agreements
Perform research on US federal and state tax laws
Respond to sensitive and highly confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Get high priority, vital assignments done quickly and accurately
Supervisory Responsibilities
Management of Tax Manager(s) and Senior(s) through coaching and mentoring, including providing feedback and development
Education and Experience
BS degree in Accounting, Finance or related
Masters Degree in Accounting or Taxation a plus
8+ years of public accounting tax experience or a mix of public accounting and multinational corporate tax department experience
Extensive experience in US federal and state income tax laws
Extensive knowledge of ASC 740 (FAS109 & FIN18) required
Knowledge of basic transfer pricing principles and intercompany transactions preferred
Knowledge of the corporate tax implications of equity compensation preferred
Proficiency in research of tax laws, rules and regulations and application to specific scenarios
Critical Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required
Experience with OneSource Tax Provision or comparable software preferred
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret tax laws and regulations, technical guidance, tax journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulation
Strong Communication skills.  Able to express facts and ideas in writing in a clear, convincing and organized manner; listen effectively, and clarify information as needed.  
Ability to manage a team of experienced tax professionals
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from various departments
Detail oriented
Prior experience working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multi-task and remain calm under pressure. 
Flexible with change and able to shift gears quickly.
