Summary
Lead of Investigations, Under Armour Protect (UAP) leads a team of investigators, analysts and technical system experts to aggressively investigate and proactively protect global corporate and retail businesses from theft, fraud, safety, security and policy violations.
Responsibilities:
Ability to attract, hire and lead a talented UAP Team that delivers excellent customer service by providing proactive investigations and aggressively pursuing all acts of theft and fraud.
Lead and develop a best in class investigation team that is the company wide central intelligence gathering resource.
Conduct interviews on teammates that are involved in theft, fraud and violations of company policy and procedure.
Maintain effective partnerships with corporate, retail, supply chain and key executives to ensure needs are being met with protection of the brand while minimizing exposure to loss.
Develop strong partnerships and a network of resources with local and federal law enforcement to facilitate investigations related to the theft of Under Armour property, resources, or other crimes causing injury to our teammates or consumers.
Participate in the exchange of appropriate data with federal, state, and local law enforcement officials, and be aware of relevant information regarding crime trends, best practices, and changes/additions to relevant criminal statutes
Follow and communicate best practices regarding industry standards for theft and fraud detection primarily focused on Retail and Corporate operations.
Develop investigative protocols that are reviewed on a regular basis to ensure strict adherence that protects the brand from legal liability.
Proactively maintain and consistently review the Exception Reporting System (ASPECT preferred) for effective case closures and new trends related to theft and fraud identification while seeking out additional system capabilities and training that will support the investigative team in their daily responsibilities.
Maintain and consistently review the Case Management System (APIS preferred) for effective incident, investigation and case management, trend analysis and proactive reporting to ensure system performance and data integrity.
Develop strong partnerships and a network of resources with local and federal law enforcement to gain proactive intelligence on crime trends.
Support HR (Employee Relations) as needed with investigations regarding ethics or P&P violations.
Support Internal Audit & Compliance as needed with investigations.
Conduct analysis of shortage results and implement solutions for shrink reduction
Develop and maintain good working relationships throughout the business.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (preferred) and minimum of 5-7 years’ experience leading complex investigations for a Retail Asset Protection or Loss Prevention Department.  A strong foundation in exception reporting (ASPECT preferred) and case management (APIS preferred).  Proven experience in conducting dishonest teammate interviews with basic and advanced interviewing techniques (Wicklander –Zulawski preferred).  Ability to influence leadership on best practices for minimizing loss due to theft, fraud, intentional acts of harm and exposure to criminal acts.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general financial statements, investigative reports, technical procedures, and policy and procedure.   Ability to write accurate and factual reports and communicate through concise business correspondence to all levels of the organization and company.   Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from various departments/businesses. Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality when conducting investigations
Must be able to develop and maintain positive working relationships with management and assigned business partners while leading projects.  Ability to prepare and deliver well-written investigative reports, and verbal presentations addressing critical risks and sensitive information to management.
Technology:  Expertise with CCTV systems (GENETEC, Indigo & Exacqvision preferred)
10% overnight travel required
