SUMMARY:
Under Armour Digital is looking for extraordinary engineers who want to focus on technical challenges impacting the daily lives of the world's largest fitness community.
We're a small team of passionate engineers who live and breathe technology. We are growing and want you to become part of what is, and will continue to be, a challenging and exciting environment. We're looking for people who never stop learning and are excited by that. This role will support Under Armour's Apparel Customization platform. As a lead software engineer on the UA Custom team, you'll work closely with teammates across UA Digital and UA E-Commerce.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:
Other duties may be assigned.
Lead a group of engineers, providing architectural guidance, code review, and mentorship.
Execute full lifecycle software development
Build and maintain UI applications and components
Build and maintain supporting backend services integrating with a variety of third-party APIs as well as internal systems.
Write well designed, testable, efficient code
Document and maintain software functionality
QUALIFICATIONS:
Proficiency with HTML, CSS, and JS. Modern JS experience preferred.
Proficiency with relational data store technologies such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, and ability to recognize and resolve common performance pitfalls.
A keen understanding of UI / Interaction development patterns.
Comfort and understanding of the Component model. Proficiency with React or other component based UI development.
Proficiency with source control including Git
Proficiency with Functional Programming concepts
PREFERRED:
Experience (or understanding) with GraphQL (Specifically Apollo)
Experience with Scala, Go, and/or Python
Experience with Kubernetes
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
BS in CS or 5+ years of comparable experience
Expertise and experience in site performance profiling and tuning
Familiarity with cutting-edge open source libraries and experience contributing to projects of personal interest a plus
