Summary
The Senior Manager of Global Labeling & Packaging (GL&P) will drive efforts around labeling and packaging compliance, quality and efficiency with an aim to ensure operational excellence on product execution and delivery, its adherence to global trade and customs compliance and align the synergies in consumer facing and logistics packaging.  This role is responsible for building trusting relationships across many functional areas, both internally, and externally, to optimize the value chain, packaging quality and ensure full compliance to all Global rules and regulations pertaining to labeling & packaging in either of the product groups. 
Responsibilities:
Manage the end to end service of labelling and packaging, from creation though retail, for all Under Armour products (apparel, footwear and accessories).
Lead, grow and develop the global labeling & packaging team with responsibility for the overall lifecycle of over 500 different packaging items with an annual spend of $80+ million at 15 global suppliers.
Collaborate with numerous internal stake holders to include design, marketing, legal, innovation, logistics, retail and wholesale partners to oversee the successful creation of new packaging items.
Own the global sourcing activities of UA’s packaging items, to include labels, hangtags, boxes, stickers, etc., in order to ensure cost optimization, quality improvements and global claim compliance for Footwear, Accessories and Apparel.
Work closely with the Product Development team to ensure kits are applied correctly to product and T1 and T2 suppliers are clear on deliverables from a timing and qualitative perspective.
Support and or lead strategic company and supply chain initiatives (RFID, VAS to SHAS, direct ship, compliance, etc.)
Receive, define and solve all global issues that arise within the UA supply chain in a timely manner to minimize the impact on UA deliveries.

The GL&P team is responsible for the end to end facilitation, development, execution and sourcing of every label and packaging item at UA.  The scope of this role is global.  This role manages an annual spend of $100M dollars on packaging related items.  The role impacts every category and every SKU Under Armour produces. 
This is a complex role that works in a complex landscape.  Every unit UA produces is unique and understanding the packaging and labeling needs on each is a challenge.  Overlay that with global sourcing complexities, social and environmental compliance, our global logistics needs, regional sales regulations, etc.  This role facilitates a very important function in a dynamic environment. 
This role receives strategic guidance from the Chief Supply Chain Officer and VP of Sourcing Services.  Global Labeling and Packaging is still a relatively new group within UA and is evolving through strategic vision from top leadership.  In addition, this team is helping to form and execute on numerous strategic projects like VAS/SHAS operations, RFID, lead times, logistics and branding. The role gives guidance cross-functionally to other teammates, as well as, direct reports.
This role requires proficiency in numerous areas to include UA category navigation, UA systems like Armoury and Centric, packaging testing requirements for apparel, footwear, and apparel, and more.  The role must be a master of UA packaging process from inception to finish.  This includes product origin, packaging requirements for logistics, wholesale, and retail, claims compliance, UA sustainability, etc.
This role needs an individual that can influence at all levels within UA and externally.  The role overseas global UA packaging from start to finish which includes functional areas that fall in other business units with the company.  Examples would be working with brand creative and design on brand packaging, aligning with the DHs and 3PLs on logistics packaging, collaborating with vendors to ensure all packaging works together, etc.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Management, Engineering, Packaging, Supply Chain, or related field required
Minimum 7 to 10+ years directly relevant work or related experience
Prior experience working in the consumer-based product space
Preferred problem solving, communication, managerial and strategic thinking skills
